Evalds comes in this season and the person was right as stated Evalds will be a Cas player BEFORE 2021.
You previously said that the deal was done, which you now admit is not the case.
I said that Evalds had not yet agreed to come to Cas early (true at the time) but that wasn’t to say things might change between then and now (which is what has happened.
Yes you said Evalds would be a Cas player before the 2021 season, which now, based on what I was told yesterday, looks like it could be right. However, you’re about two months later than you claimed, which is akin to putting the winning numbers on the lottery for a draw that has already happened.
At least (I think) we ALL agree that Evalds coming in, whenever it may be, will only be a good thing for the side in terms of competing for silverware both this season and beyond.

Re: Niall Evalds
his contract with salford ends in november, so he was always going to be a cas player before 2021.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑03 Aug 2020, 08:24 I also recall him saying the goalposts were changed because of the fee Salford wanted and Cas were unwilling to pay. Also stated that Salford would not want to pay his wages as they were skint. It was a waiting game for Cas to get him without a fee and looks like they will be getting him. Think you might be best looking at all the comments that were made and not just the ones that suite your side of the story.

Looks like Eden for Saturday then
Re: Niall Evalds
KEYBOARD STUCK ON CAPS APOLOGY BUT IF WE DON'T GET EVALDS BEFORE CUP MATCH CAN'T HONESTLY SEE HIM COMING THIS SEASON. SOMEONE SAID SALFORD WANTED 5000 FOR HIM THINK IF TRUE WE SHOULD PAY IT PERSONALLY SOLVE THE SQUARE PEG ROUND HOLE PROBLEM

I reckon Cas will play the waiting game and use Eden until they can get Evalds without a fee. I still think Salford will let him go this season because their skint and now have Ecsare. Time will tell.

Re: Niall Evalds
Interesting to see what they’ll do with escare for the rest of the season while he’s already been training at fullback for Salford.

Salford, and no doubt that director who kicked off, are being n aches but are paying for a good wage as part of their salary cap with no benefit to them.
Their own players some of whom will have taken a pay cut will be wondering why they’re PURPOSELY paying Evalds just to be an ass

Re: Niall Evalds
Escare is a Salford player for this season. He as signed a 3 year deal. Tigers have signed Evalds for 2021-2024 seasons. Evalds won't be at Cas this year - he is on ferlough at Salford and is a Salford player until November. The only way we will get him in earlier is if we are prepared to pay a fee - which in the current climbate (i.e. releasing players) I rekon that is highly unlikely.Tigerman2014 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2020, 18:04 If we can’t have Evalds we should sign Escare till the end of this season after all he’s Un contracted till 2021 !!!

Re: Niall Evalds
Escare has signed for 2021 not for 2020 he’s just training with Salford
Re: Niall Evalds
How is Evalds on furlough? Thought all players come off furlough as soon as the club start training, surely they cant just pick which players to take off furlough otherwise all the clubs would leave their injured players on furlough.

Re: Niall Evalds
Salford could do the same as Toronto did with Gigot and play Escare as a trialist
Re: Niall Evalds
Assuming that would mean his 60k salary wouldnt count?
If not, what would be the point

Re: Niall Evalds
As long as he doesn't "attend" training he could remain on furlough, they can also return to furlough if they get injured.

Companies can keep staff on furlough and take staff off furlough. They dont have to do the same for all employees. A rugby company can do exactly the same. The players are staff at the end of the day as they're payed a wage.
Re: Niall Evalds
Id be pee'd off if i was only getting 80% but everyone else was back on full pay, even injured players attend training.

You'd be more peed off if you got laid off, in these times you need to be grateful to have a job never mind moaning about getting 20% less than someone else.
Re: Niall Evalds
If he was laid off he'd walk straight into a job at cas.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 23:06You'd be more peed off if you got laid off, in these times you need to be grateful to have a job never mind moaning about getting 20% less than someone else.
