wakey sunday

Post by tigerfeat » 09 Jan 2017, 10:40

should be a good test if both put out strong teams ,just hope we get through without any injuries and can go off for some warm weather training before what could be a season to remember...

Strong team this week a mixture of seasoned players and emerging players V Batley full team for the final blow out V St Helens, Wakefield fans are expecting a big season from their team with them beating Leeds on boxing day, time will tell but I can only see Wakefield in the bottom four and fighting to stop up again,

Personally I can see wakey scraping the 8 I think the bottom 4 will be in no particular order hudds, Salford, widnes and Leigh. This is a game that we need to win at a canter in the league if we have genuine aspirations of being a top 4 side, friendlies/warm up games can be a funny thing. But DP usually gets the boys up for them. So I'm going to say if we both put out full sides cas by 20.

I think it's easy to under estimate Wakefield based on the past few seasons and the rivalry but I think they will make the eight, they have a strong pack if they all show up, decent halves and a good young backline, I think they will surprise a good few of the big boys at home this season and scrape a few away wins at the lower teams. Should be a good test if both teams put out a strong side

Don't risk anyone who is still not 100%

My picks

1 hardaker
2 Eden
3 webbo
4 shenny
5 minikin
6 chase
7 holmes
8 gadwin
9 macca
10 Millo
11 jsl
12 mckmeeken
13 massey

14 junior
15 cook
16 monners
17 million
18 maher
19 tuoyo
20 iggy
21 douglas
22 Fitzsimmons
23 westerman

Batley will be interesting to see if DP allows T.holmes & Maher to play against out youngsters for Batley. Sts will be a squad of 21 first team players everyone who is for for a final run out and fight for remaining positions in the team.

I think it'll be a good idea if he does. Bonus game of watching them without having to make a special journey. Good chance to see what they put in even if it is just a friendly.
