Disciplinary up-date

Following a meeting of the RFL Disciplinary Committee inLeeds tonight (Tuesday), Michael Korkidas (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) was found guilty of illegal use of the head in the engage Super League fixture against St Helens last Friday. The committee considered that his dismissal from the field during the match had been sufficient punishment.

No don't tell me, in Greece it is a custom to head butt someone .

Maybe they don't want to stand down because they want to rectify the mistakes they've made in seasons gone by.

Headbutting people seems to be the 'in thing' at Wakey.

Not seeing the incident i can't comment, although John Kear thought he would get off, when he was on radio Leeds on Sunday.

Wouldn't be suprised if Lyons got a two match suspension for showing the official disrespect by saying "Oi ref what you going to *SWEARING* do about that?" after he was headbutted.

so let me get this right . korkidass gets sent off nearing the end of the game for head-butting jamie lyon right infront of the refferee . the ref obviously sees it and sends him off rightfully so . but doesn't get at least a ban ! ! !

what was the difference between korkidas's head butt and ned cadic's the other week against us ? ? ? and cadic got a 3 match ban !

again the rfl are a complete disgrace by their lack of consistency . its stupid !

No surprise to me. No consistency at all in the RL disciplinary process.

The disciplinary process needs looking at. It's just a bit of a joke at the moment.
