Not too sure what to think, never seen Carney play but if clubs like Wigan are interested he can't be too bad.

Is he better than Sherwin or just faster?

Looking at his profile on Wikipedia he sounds a good prospect if we could get him.

It was the bit where he was voted the best player in the NRL this year, not bad.

That is a shock, sounds like the club have put the proposal on the table.
Does that mean we wont rid of sherwin or shewin wants to go.

Cas probably want more for the money. I won't be upset if the swap goes ahead, but likewise i will be happy if he stays for another 2 years.

i hope this is not true, i realy wanted to se sherwin play behinde a better pack, and i for one think he is one of the best half backs to wear a cas shirt. the guy has bags of skill. dont know too mutch about carney but he is another bad boy. we know what sherwin will give us next year. i know they say hes the next andrew johns but how bad must he be for them to get shut of there next big thing.. or is it that sherwin is home sick and has asked fo a way out

I was going to say... I have had it pointed out to me that he looks a hell of a lot more in shape now than he did at the start of the season! Cheers Di :)

if that happened it would be a massive signing, i like sherwin but give me carney any day he may be a bad apple but he is one of the best halfbacks around

shrude business by cas if you ask me. how old is sherwin and how old is carney? good business cas

by the way how anyone can justify sherwin's earning is laughable and surely carney would only want £100k a year end of day he's desperate, we're in the driving seat for once, not the player!!!!

Agree with you absolutely Mr Tiger. If it's true and we pulled it off it would be great business. Carney's a younger man, fitter and has much more mileage left in him. He's had problems but he's a talent.

Again this is no reflection on Shifty, but he's already 30 and has a 3 year contract. Carney is on a huge contract over there but BS is on one over here. When people keep quoting 100k for him, they're well short. We know BS can play and has ability, the problem is the money he's on and for how long, not his ability. Even though he has talent he's just not worth the contract. Hence any swap would be more than a good one for me.

Shifty is a good class half back, but I agree with Cutsyke Tiger fully, when he says it's ridiculous to call him one of the best ever halves the club has had. He's a long way to go before you can even compare him with the great half backs we've had. But he's on a 'greatest half backs' contract.

I also have to say though that Fully has a point, when he questions whether there is any truth in it. The press and newspapers are notorious for speculation and putting two and two together and coming up with five, and at the end of the day it may all be poppycock.

We can only but wait and see.
So I said to the Taxi driver, "King Edwards Close". He replied "It's alright we'll lose him at the next set of lights".

It wouldn't be a swap as such, just Cas trying to offload Sherwins contract onto another club.
