Korkidas wont play for Cas againstumain wrote:Currently on the books are:
Dorn, Sherwin, Leafa, Henderson, Korkidas, Guttenbiel, McGoldrick, Catic, Sargent, Fletcher.
Signed up for 2009:
Chase, Widders, plus those in bold above.
So, 3 spaces left for next year (maybe 4 if they offload Korkidas).

i thought next year we are allowed 5 overseas and 3 non-federation,which would look like:
Sherwin,McGoldrick,Chase,Widders,Sargent
Korkidas,?,?
im guessing Guttenbeil will retire,Fletcher+Leafa+Catic to be released and Dorn is supposed to have signed for `quins.
i would put a priority on getting a top centre/winger,another big forward and definately get a full-back now Cockayne has successfully played us against hull k.r .
im assuming Chase is coming to play 6 so we also need a dummy-half(apparantly Hudson...on silly money)
should be an interesting close season........

The club are actively trying to get Korkidas off the books - there's no question about that.
The signing of Faumuina suspects me that this me have been successfully done.
If the Evans deal is done, then that does indeed our quota is full, but there's another name I've heard (again suspecting me to believe that Korkidas has been released)

Why? Personally I feel he's a good NRL player, but very much over rated and simply because he's from down under and has cult status there, people seem to think he's a world beater. There's far better props in NZ than him.WHELDON-ROAD-END wrote:Although i would really really like to see him in the SL and for us!
