Re: Squad V Huddersfield
Further to my previous post, just watch the first half, fell apart and bashed by the Broncos in second half
Re: Squad V Huddersfield
My fifth match this year as I travel from Bamburgh. I won't be coming to another match or watch them on TV. I have supported them for over sixty years but no more. I am turning off any media links which monitor what the team is doing and leave it a long time before I dare to look again. Enough is enough.

I did that ages ago and its much better
Re: Squad V Huddersfield
Sadly as a life member I have not been this year and I get in free!
Turned it off ( Again) after a great week v Wigan how can that happen ?
Its very sad to see and hear people talking. People follow us from all over but we have had 7/8 seasons of it will get better.
I am supporting the new owner to get a grip and bring change but the longer Martin leaves us in decline the harder to recover.
60 year a Cas fan ( almost) its really sad.

Re: Squad V Huddersfield
I know some supporters are saying can't blame coach it's the players we have got
However something has to change as even fans that turn up week after week are now switching off as seen by the crowd against Huddersfield
Perhaps a change of coach will have that new coach effect , I happen to think a lot of our issues is the head coach and the team don't get on....and more importantly the S&C department really need to be changed for next season as we simply cannot keep our levels up for two games in a row
Mr Jepson I have every faith in what he is slowly doing and getting Chester in is a master stroke unfortunately his one decision to put DM in charge is hurting his ability to get the fans to buy into it and it's now damaging with less cash coming through the gate
He needs to bite the bullet and make the change sooner rather than later to let Chester and a new coach sort out the mess we find ourselves in

Re: Squad V Huddersfield
And yet there were 6.6k there against Huddersfield as aopposed to 6k against Wigan who brought considerably more supporters than Huddersfield did . As a conservative guess , I would say 1k more Cas fans were in attendance last night compared to Wigan match .init wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 11:22 I know some supporters are saying can't blame coach it's the players we have got

Fair point....do you think that extra 1000 thought we had turned the corner?, do you think they will be back?...
Last season the same fixture had 7040 in attendance....that's 400 less in a game we were expected to win
Sorry but it's clear there is a significant drop off and if your Mr Jepson you should be worried

Not in a million years were 6,600 in attendance.5menofsteel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 13:36And yet there were 6.6k there against Huddersfield as aopposed to 6k against Wigan who brought considerably more supporters than Huddersfield did . I have sat in the main stand for 14 years or so, it was really empty. Princess Street was very sparse. So was the railway end. I would estimate 5000 plus at best, others near me thought less than 5000 or even less than 4500.
Re: Squad V Huddersfield
i thought the crowd was about right many more in the princess st stand than the Wigan game there is no yardage in giving over the top attendance numbers the tax man and vat man are watchingYear of the Tiger wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 16:44Not in a million years were 6,600 in attendance.5menofsteel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 13:36And yet there were 6.6k there against Huddersfield as aopposed to 6k against Wigan who brought considerably more supporters than Huddersfield did . Re: Squad V Huddersfield
I sit directly opposite the Princess Street stand every game, believe me. It wasn't even a third full. Not just me saying that, but the people who sit around me were saying this is the worst crowd in years.gateman wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 16:57i thought the crowd was about right many more in the princess st stand than the Wigan game there is no yardage in giving over the top attendance numbers the tax man and vat man are watchingYear of the Tiger wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 16:44Not in a million years were 6,600 in attendance.5menofsteel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 13:36And yet there were 6.6k there against Huddersfield as aopposed to 6k against Wigan who brought considerably more supporters than Huddersfield did . Plenty of comments on social media questioning the given attendance as well.

Re: Squad V Huddersfield
Them seats in the princess st stand is stifling the atmosphere.
I agree it was only a third full.
Need to allow folk in for free until the whole stadium is done.

Re: Squad V Huddersfield
The WR end was packed yesterday , only 2/3 full against Wigan . More in PS than Wigan game , but less in away end .
As mentioned absolutely no value in declaring a false crowd that's too high as you are paying tax man more if you declare more .

I've no idea about Thursdays crowd I didn't go down but isn't any club better off if there fighting for survival under the new system paying a bit more tax and inflating the crowd ?....if they can get away with it like5menofsteel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 21:08 The WR end was packed yesterday , only 2/3 full against Wigan . Why would they pay more tax on a purpose? RLUK is a dying sport. For nearly every team they have to balance finances with extreme caution. We can’t spend anywhere near the cap on players or a decent coach to Make the team better to attract better crowds, nor have we a media team capable of announcing how long players have been signed for or updating a website. Kudos if you know someone at the club or clubs capable of frauding the IMG system but I think your way off any of them actually doing what you have suggested, especially when the ground both in person and on replay looked dead and empty. I could nearly spell tigers on the princess street stand with that many empty seats, and that’s been the case for the majority of the year.

Re: Squad V Huddersfield
It's a fair point , but sadly we are too far behind the required average for this season to maintain our 7.5k , three-year average . We would have had to declare a crowd of around 8.8k in each of our final 4 games (inc. Hudds)tigerfeat wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025, 08:28I've no idea about Thursdays crowd I didn't go down but isn't any club better off if there fighting for survival under the new system paying a bit more tax and inflating the crowd ?....if they can get away with it like5menofsteel wrote: ↑05 Jul 2025, 21:08 The WR end was packed yesterday , only 2/3 full against Wigan .
