Mat Croker
Looks like we may have finally got our man from the Newcastle Knights.
He was meant to be coming to us for this year, but the deal fell through, but looks like it's back on for 2026.
25 years old. 6ft4 and 17st. Playing well in a really poor Knights team at the minute.

Re: Mat Croker
What a signing he would be.
Re: Mat Croker
I'd be happy if he replaced amone... I mean he's 4/5 inch taller and about the same weight so he's a direct swap.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: Mat Croker
Vaughan and Crocker as starting props would be be a good start to a rebuild.

Re: Mat Croker
All I can see is that he has been made a big offer from an unnamed SL club and that he is weighing up his options . Cas not mentioned .

Re: Mat Croker
Matt Shaw has just released an article saying that Croker is staying at Knights next season ,and it was Wakey who made the big offer not Cas.

Well, that’s that then.
Re: Mat Croker
He was never leaving the NRL. Agent touting him around to bump up his new deal over there.

Re: Mat Croker
I am not just being cynical, but the best way to assess these rumours:
Have you heard of them in the NRL? If yes, highly unlikely.
Do they have credible NRL starts and stats: More unlikely.
Are they "tearing it up in the QLD Cup" but not being picked up by an NRL club - strong possibility.
OR - are they already over here and being offloaded? Potentially then.
Are they hanging out for an extra 2 years at the end of a career? More likely then.

All coaching is, is taking a player where he can't take himself.
