Amateurish Media
Our social media has dropped off a cliff. Cant spell McGuire right, past 5 press releases its said "MacGuire". Posting website links for announcements with little to no context. Graphics been poorly masked over. And a post on instagram story tonight saying "Scollarship warming up".
Theres been a lot of chat from Mr Jepson about bringing up professional. Our media content started out excellent this season and now its abysmal.
From my understanding IMG grading is each year and IMG points include social media. Shocking we've let it slip and risk losing points we have for social media.

Re: Amateurish Media
I’ve noticed it’s gone down the pan. Weren’t we have supposed to have recently employed a new person in that role? Have they left already or are they just useless? Whatever it is it needs sorting as quite frankly it’s not even amateur level stuff.
Re: Amateurish Media
Latest version is Mcguire. But no exclamation mark!Jenson wrote: ↑19 Mar 2025, 21:21 Our social media has dropped off a cliff. Cant spell McGuire right, past 5 press releases its said "MacGuire". Why?
Re: Amateurish Media
Just people’s opinion Tamworth. My personal opinion on this last 6-8 months are that I think he bit off more than he can chew and has regretted it.
Didn’t he tell us all a fib with the led boards about them being installed then they weren’t- luckily wasn’t the deciding factor between A/B grade- but his leadership and fib could have cost us - luckily it didn’t.
Said he wanted to take full ownership but then since has delayed this and I’m sorry, he wanted to do it, you can’t then want to retract or delay it because things haven’t gone his way with further investment, being a life long RL fan, he must have known the game as a whole is on its a**e. I Think he should have been more clear in sept/oct that he would only take full control if someone came on board by the January deadline, otherwise would have remained with the fultons. Think that would have been a better statement to make and commit to.
The amateur rumours and press releases about denying contacting a high profile celebrity to invest via the rumoured twitter/x platform were a bit embarrassing for me personally. Again this has happened on his leadership. Great if he knows the guy and is coming on board if not then leave it. Didn’t think we needed a public statement.
Head coach - removed Lingard and appointed Danny - strange that he didn’t go for a more experienced SL/NRL head coach. Only won 1/6 competitive games- this time last year and the year before people were calling for the coaches head.
Playing group - allowed the current state of affairs to happen again under his leadership. Not saying I’m right but he could have improved the squad a lot better than it has been. It’s pro sport - we all want to win, don’t we? Personally I’d love another 2017 season. The squad is like it constantly needs an overhaul with project signings what then get moved on.
Ground and stadium- not much he can do I won’t be harsh on this but what’s been done is minimal to get the grading. I pass regularly down WR and there is never much happening- where are all the new facilities and offices he’s gone on about for the staff off field? I can’t see them unless I’ve missed them.
Media & marketing - didn’t he promise great things? This is so so bad, incorrect name spelling, wrong information. Didn’t we have a tigers tv at one point - all when you click on their now the first bit what comes up is a Lingard press conference. We struggled to follow a link to the Salford match to buy tickets as nothing was linked together. In the end gave up trying to buy them online.
Comments & podcast on Salford - thought this was un called for and unprofessional- we all want RL in the uk to be successful, and bigger than it is. Yes Salford are a mess. That quite easily could have been another team too. Think the cheap hit out at them about him being out of pocket on gate receipts wasn’t called for. Leave them to it and focus on ourselves. He can’t want them to be successful and to bring a huge following of fans and then when they still in a rut financially he then goes and cherry picks their players. Surely can’t have it both ways?

Fair enough, we all have our views. I think that he was brave to do what he did and IMO his business head was what enabled us to concentrate on getting a good A Grade and he was generous not taking the credit for that.Martiger wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 09:41Just people’s opinion Tamworth. It’s a shame that no one else seems to have been prepared to have the guts to put their money in. Funny how that happens when the big talking stops. Don’t think he had anything to do with the Crowe rumour.
The jury is still out for me on Lingard going. McGuire is doing a better job than for example Powell was at the same stage at Warrington.
I think saying that he’s all mouth just over 12 months into a three year plan is really unfair and I dread to think where we would be if he hadn’t had the courage to step up when no one else would.
Oh, and I don’t blame him on Salford, they’ve been running on empty for a long time and as more comes out the RFL has clearly bottled it.

I think he just needs to win over the fans who have had enough over the years gone past!Tamworth Tiger wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 10:36Fair enough, we all have our views. Thing is about jepson.
He as a full time job away from rugby, where he’s based in London.
IMO I think running 2 business will take its toll on him.
He really does need a couple of partners in the club to take a humongous load off his back.
Let’s hope when the closing date comes in April he as a couple of partners to help him out.

Re: Amateurish Media
Disagree , on top of points made by others to address your issues , we must remember that under his ownership we got a Categroy A , something which few , if any of us , would have thought possible at the start of 2024 . Without MJ our SL place was in serious doubt , just look at Salford . The club has improved in so many areas over the last year . Yes , the social media side has dropped , but as OCL mentions , MJ needs help in running the club , something that he has mentioned openly himself several times . When this help arrives , I am confident the areas that need improving will be dealt with .Martiger wrote: ↑20 Mar 2025, 09:41Just people’s opinion Tamworth. Re: Amateurish Media
We don't seem to have announced a new CEO since Gratton left either. Whilst he had his faults he was doing an important job and i'd have expected his replacement to have been in place more or less straight away.
Re: Amateurish Media
Yeah don't know why we not announced that yet sure it will all be sorted in time by Mr Jepson tho
Meanwhile I'm just grateful we are were we are when you look at what's happening at Salford things looking very bleak for them now really
