Looks like they will go into the game against Bradford with only 13 players it's unbelievable what's happening there really

Re: Salford
Wonder if we’ll pick anyone up.
Or will their best players be picked over because we are to slow to move.

Re: Salford
That;s how you get players in, what a reaction to the Wakey defeat. Whilst Cas insist no props are available Wire don't mess about and bring in what Burgess wants, lucky coach.

Bullock would be my number one choice.old cas lass wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 16:32 Wonder if we’ll pick anyone up.

Re: Salford
Is that correct? Love Rugby League says they want it , but couldn’t see that a deal had been done. Don’t the restrictions stop Salford buying or selling atm?

Re: Salford
I think the point is, Salford need significant cash, unless we are willing to pay a significant transfer fee there’s not much point in holding out any hope. Taking a player off their wage bill is all well and good but doesn’t make that much of a difference in reality. Unless we are imo, offering a significant (6figure) sum for a player or batch of players we are wasting our time and salfords time.

Re: Salford
True, but I think I saw £75k from Wire to Salford for probably Salford’s key player. That isn’t going to have a huge impact on the overall wage bill. Surely it can only help if the rescue money is days away. Can’t see many if any of the remainder of the squad fetching 6 figures, and if the money doesn’t come urgently they will have to keep selling for whatever they can get. Most clubs don’t have a lot of cap space.
Re: Salford
I was more probably referencing to paying 100k for Watkins, ormonroyd, Dudson etc maybe another in with that but who knowsTamworth Tiger wrote: ↑13 Mar 2025, 21:03 True, but I think I saw £75k from Wire to Salford for probably Salford’s key player. Dudson is 34 and playing at Oldham. Bullock would be a better shout.

Re: Salford
Bullock yes. Despite his age Watkins has a good 18 months left in him. Young Kai Morgan is a promising player as well. Just turned 20, came through the Leeds academy. Impressed at hooker against us but is a halfback by trade and could fill that back up spot we have.
