Guess it depends how it all pans out but if it’s a case of everything must go then it’s hard to see them anything other than cannon fodder.

The intonation on the end of that sentence is intentional. I wish them no ill, but this should be the facts rather than clubs running at -£1.3M and sacrificing nothing.
And yet they are going to Portugal for warm weather training........ :x

"A fire sale of Salford Red Devils' players appears imminent after clubs were told to declare their interest in the players they would like to sign. In the last 24 hours, clubs have been contacted by senior figures at the Rugby Football League and RL Commercial outlining Salford's latest perilous position, with the club facing yet another cash flow issue

appears as thought the vultures are hovering over Salford, should we be joining them, if so who could we 'afford' as Mr Jepson has stated that we have funds available for the right player (s) should they become available, Bullock ?, Watkins? ............Sneeyd probaby out of our price range

How come teams like saints and Leeds are millions in dept and the RL over look it. I think the RL are already looking at replacing Salford at season end with the team winning the championship so it doesn’t look bad.

So Salford have been spending way above their means for years, buying players they cant afford, yet under the IMG system they are given an 'A' grade, and now they are in even more serious financial difficulties.

Can someone explain to me how this has been allowed to happen?

you must feel for the Salford fans, the people who have put them in this position are to blame, we all can go out and overspend but the day of recconing always comes along

The fans deserve to be told what's going on I agree with that the silence from the Salford club is deafening

Their debts are covered by their owners . Yes , they are losing millions in some cases but these losses are covered so , in effect , they aren't in debt

They should have been kicked out of Super League because they are not financially viable.

Find it sad that we only have 11 uk based teams in the top league and 1 of them is in trouble what is the game coming to.

Hopefully the rumour of an Australian consortium taking over Salford is true. Really feel for their fans who have been through the mill. We seem to be in a good place with investment coming over the hill at just the right time but that could so easily have been us right now.
I fear if they can’t get a backer it could be the end of a Club with a long history and against which we have some good contests over the years. If they go we likely get Toulouse, I know which I would rather have in SL.

Speaking of predictions what’s our thoughts on how our new signings will do?
Asi will be a steady player much improvement on miller but still go missing in some game
.
Rimbu Player of the year top clubs sniffing.

Cini 50/50 on this guy at the moment. Seems very confident on his ability hoping he’s a gem but part of me thinks another Blair.

Okoro nothing better then we have

Simbiken steady player who becomes a fans favourite but under rated by other clubs.

Ive heard that Cini is impressing in training and so is Asi (but more so)

I reckon Simbekin will be a pleasant surprise package and I'm really looking forward to seeing Rimbu and Horne playing together.

Will Namo improve on last season? The jury's out for me.

I think defence could be the key this season and with the improvement in this area at KR under Delaney , we have to hope that he can do something similar for us going forward .

A Solid defence takes some pressure off our attack , an attack that looks , on paper at least, a lot more potent than last season .

I think play-offs is going to be a little too optimistic for this season , but not impossible if defence improves and we can stay injury/suspension free . A good run with more or less the same 17-21 players week in , week out makes a big difference and if other clubs struggle to do this then who knows ?

In conclusion I would say a bottom half finish but hopefully around 7th-9th .
