Wakefield v Castleford

Jan 24th.

Should get a decent crowd.

Looking at the Wakefield squad for next season it’s very poor.
The back line other than Johnstone is terrible.
Can’t see them winning many.

Good luck to the bloke. Cracking player for us throughout his years, can' deny that, but it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth with how he left. Signed a new deal and said he wanted to see his years out with us, then jumped ship the first time Leeds came showed any interest. He then did an interview with James Deighton last season and said his most enjoyable time has been with Wakey and never gave Cas a mention.

yes, a real badge kisser this one. I know as a Cas supporter I'm bound to say it just doesnt get any better than our dominant 2017 season, the GF aside, but how can he possibly compare that to his season last year running all over part timers...

most players move on if a club offers more money who can blame them ? as far as saying he enjoyed playing for Wakefield above any other club what else could he say to a loaded question when at the time he was being paid by Wakefield

other than Jowitt, McMeeken and Johnstone the squad in general is poor - i thought the same as you.

But according to most they are on for a top 6 finish. And according to some on here are miles infront of us!

Just don’t see it
Iv never seen Jowitt have a good game against us he drops ball at least twice a game.
Think they will definitely be bottom.

It was a chat about his career when he announced his retirement....

If I'm honest, removing the bias, I think there squad is better than ours by some way as it stands, nowhere near what wakey fans seem to think but I don't think they will struggle in the way you think, even when you talk about the likes of Jowitt, if he doesn't perform, they'll soon give a spot to that lad from London they've signed and he looked class last year in a crap side.

Can’t completely agree sadly. Their front row in particular is pretty good and walks all over ours. Along with McMeekan Rodwell is an excellent player, Uele is a monster and Atoni has improved the longer he has been over here.
Storton is a good signing for them as well. They won’t get top 6 but they won’t finish bottom either.
