I don’t think it’s accurate to say we’re looking for investors as the said investors will not receive any profit on their monies.
What we’re looking for is a hobbyist whom is a kindered spirit of all things Cas. Martin might find one.
But I think investors are unlikely to see any return whatsoever?
Any business can be made profitable with the right people on board.
But nobody buys any sports clubs to make profit from it anyway, unless your name is Mike Ashley. Seldom has anyone ever made any profit through a sports club.
Sustaining Castleford profitable is impossible in my opinion regardless of who is there. Unless we sign a squad of championship players at best and pay them 25k each. At which point attendances would be 2-3k and retail operations would reduce by 50% at least,
We’re looking for a hobbyist & fan, with big money, who are quite prepared to lose plenty of money. Just saying it as I see it..,?
As I say, any business can be made profitable - its not always in the best interests of said business but it can be done in exactly the way you mentioned.
Anyone who buys a sports club understands that the chances of running it and making money on it are slim to none unless you run it into the ground and butcher it accordingly. Most buy these clubs as you say for a hobby or because they are bored and want something to do.
