Re: Luis Johnson
He’s not a world beater but neither is he garbage. But yes, whether we need to spend any remaining funds in that position i’m not so sure.

Re: Luis Johnson
Luis aint a bad player. As @The Firm says he's not exactly world class but he aint garbage either. I just don't feel as though we need any more utility forwards. Yes he can play prop if needed but, in my opinion, we need an out and out prop forward and, as @Mucky1978 says, another half/fullback cover. I'd, personally, be saving the money until someone more suitable to our requirements becomes available. Having said all that, Mr Lingard is the coach, he knows how he wants his squad and how he wants them playing so, if he wants Luis and feels he's the right fit that's his call. I'm liking the positivity he's showing at the moment so will trust his judgement until he gives me reason not to.

Castleford Tigers have opened negotiations with Luis Johnson over a permanent stay with the club. The back-rower has been training with the Super League club following his release from Hull KR and could now be set to land a permanent deal.
Johnson was provisionally granted the opportunity to train with the club while he was a free agent and was spotted working with the club upon their return to pre-season training. It now appears that an extended stay could be on the cards, Rugby League Live understands talks are underway with a view to making Johnson a member of their 2024 squad.
He spent time on loan at Castleford last season, making three appearances, before returning to Craven Park. He would play times for Rovers last year, taking his final tally to 33 for the club. The 24-year-old previously made his Super League debut for Warrington, who purchased him for £45,000 from the Tigers back in 2017.
Should a deal be reached, he would join a back-row department that already features Alex Mellor, Elie El-Zakhem and Charbel Tasipale, as well as others within the squad who have previously played in the position. So far, Castleford have made nine signings ahead of the 2024 season, one which will see them coached by Craig Lingard.
