Re: GOB to leigh ?
Good move for him.
Re: GOB to leigh ?
Really good move for all I think. Made a few comments in the last few days about saturation in some positions and gaps in others.
If this and the Vete rumour is true it goes some way to sorting it.

Re: GOB to leigh ?
If true, I would guess Richardson recent form and contract have forced the decision

Re: GOB to leigh ?
I feel for GOB, really honest, gutsy and you never think he wont bleed for the club.
Always seemed to be a great player to have in your squad, but never really commanded a 1-13 jersey.
Can wish him nothing but the best, leaves it all out there often at the detriment to his own well-being.

If he's been guaranteed full back position it's the right move for him far and away his best position for me

Re: GOB to leigh ?
If it doesn’t happen, he is still contracted to Cas next season.
Re: GOB to leigh ?
I like GOB, he's been a good player, good goal kicker for us and would be happy if he stayed until the end of his contract. But we now have cover in his positions and he'll be 31 in a couple of months. If he can get a first choice role, secure his longer term future and move closer to home doing it then it's a no brainer for him and he'll go with my best wishes and we could invest his salary elsewhere in the squad.

I fear he's 1 or 2 more head knocks away from retiring. I remember his debut with us, when he was on loan from Warrington, he was knocked out then. It's been happening to him for years. At some point, his health has to come before rugby. Really nice guy too and handy player to have.

It was at Odsal he came on as a sub and they hit him first time he had the ball, went off didn't come back on.heritage1926 wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 11:47 I fear he's 1 or 2 more head knocks away from retiring.
