Greg Eden
Credit where credit is due to Orpherts for scoring 4 trys to get Sky man of the match and for most yards but for me Eden was quality to slot in at Full back. Total day and night difference to when he played full back under Powell. Also big shout out to Richardson on the last 4 games, he has really turned the corner. Hope it continues.
Re: Greg Eden
must admit Eden at full back rocks or diamonds well done Greg to come up with diamonds , i will put my hand up i thought it would be rocks keep it it up young fella
Re: Greg Eden
Mamo played most of the game at full back to be fair when he came on. Eden went to 6 again when OBrien went off.
Eden is giving us something in the halves we haven't had for a long time and that's speed.
Teams are worried about his pace and his speed at running to the line ad either dummying or throwing passes is causing issues.
Looking good to be fair to him.

Re: Greg Eden
Exactly @Swagger Eden played about 75% of the game at stand off. He cover full back defensively when Mamo was in the bin.

Re: Greg Eden
I thought Eden was a bit scratchy against Leeds playing at half back he did a lot better against Warrington and last night he was great laying on three or four trys with brilliant passes like you say he's a real handful for teams to cope with him and Macca and DR playing on top formSwagger wrote: ↑23 Jul 2022, 00:26 Mamo played most of the game at full back to be fair when he came on. Re: Greg Eden
Eden got 3 maybe 4 assists today and i noticed a few times he had a 50/50 chance to pass the ball he opted to take the tackle where as under Powell he seemed to be throwing those passes, maybe Radford has said if the pass isn't definitely on keep it.

Re: Greg Eden
Eden was nearly always a winger under DP.
I can’t ever remember him playing stand off so he wouldn’t have had as many opportunities to pass the ball. He filled in at full back a few times but never looked happy there.
He, along with a few other players, especially Richardson, seems to have gained confidence playing for Radford and we are seeing the benefit.
I don’t think DP liked Eden and since Radford haas shown confidence in him, we now have a player who can fill 3 positions, not just 1.
Would DP have selected Eden at stand off - I think not.

Re: Greg Eden
Iv no doubt that Eden will pick up a 2 game ban for the shoulder charge on Wynn.
Re: Greg Eden
Can't remember Greg being in much trouble before shouldn't be getting banned for that

Re: Greg Eden
Was a shoulder barge rather than charge, nothing in it and penalty sufficient. Looked the most composed he's been in weeks last night, played well again.
Re: Greg Eden
2 players running in the same direction for the ball, shoulder barge is allowed. Yes, Greg was coming in a bit from the side but that's where he had to come from to get to the ball. At the point of impact I thought they were both challenging for the ball just in front of them and that the collision was a fair one.
Re: Greg Eden
I was referring to the games Eden played at full back for Powell and always seemed to throw that stupid brain fart pass that had us all with our hearts in our mouthsorrsome wrote: ↑23 Jul 2022, 09:13 Eden was nearly always a winger under DP.

Also i thought Eden had always wanted to be a full back which was why he went to Huddersfield in first place and where he played most of his games at hull kr.

Re: Greg Eden
Never in a million years did I think Eden was a capable SO. Some of the play he has shown has been sublime. Kudos to Radford for picking him there, but well played Greg Eden. Impressive.

Couple of his passes were really delicate, showed some craft.

Re: Greg Eden
Shoulder to shoulder, same direction, neither had the ball, so both challenging for the ball.

Re: Greg Eden
Sorry. Don't agree you can clearly see Greg is running into the man rather than toward the ball and he clearly changes direction correct penalty but shouldn't get a banTigers1926 wrote: ↑23 Jul 2022, 17:37 Shoulder to shoulder, same direction, neither had the ball, so both challenging for the ball.
