Newman “try”

Post by Fumper27 » 21 Jul 2022, 21:17

If a penalty is given when a defender dives around the ruck when defending the line, who the hell can a try be given when an attacking player dives through the legs of his mate playing the ball to score?

And they wonder why referees and video referees get the criticism they do 🤔

And now a perfect tackle by French on Myler given as a ‘tip tackle’?! Not gonna have any effect on result but there really have been some shockers in favour of Leeds this game

Would love Sky to have an “ask the ref” segment like they do on Monday mornings for the premier league’s debatable incidents…

James child as a lot to answer too.
Imo he should be dropped next week for the balls up of the century.
Would love to hear his reason, don’t think we did on screen.

it makes my blood boil when these things happen, all that technology & only the people judging it get it wrong, our game is becoming difficult to understand, players getting suspended & others not getting suspended for the same incidents. I've watched the game for over 60 years & i don't understand the rules anymore

We really need to Scrap the ref semding it up as either a try or no try. The ref should just say im not sure about this can you check it. I think that will get rid of some of the bad calls.

Didn’t they try and get away with the same thing against us at Newcastle?

This…

Like they say in Union “is there any reason why I shouldn’t award a try”. Stops all the guesswork

I thought Leeds' first try was a knock-on into the man as they challenged for the ball in the air... but no, it was deemed play-on and Sutcliffe scored. Seemed to definitely be Leeds' night.

leeds definitely got rub of the green but what happened to wigan ? go from beating hull by 60-0 to losing by 40 to leeds who had a lot of players out injured . very weird season as anybody can beat anybody but the standard is not good i feel we have gone backwards from 20 years ago .

I agree with BigGee and the talk of expanding the competition dilutes further the quality sadly, certainly in the short term.
There is one club nailed on better than the rest - doesn't obviously mean they'll win everything on the day and all that, but other than that, everyone is beatable.
