Must be nice not to have a salary cap.

Iv read they pay their french players peanuts so they can afford to pay big money to their imports. Think it was Morgan Escare who left because of this.

I think it was Gigot who left due to this…

Would they not get some sort of salary dispensation for their players playing for the national side bit like English clubs do??? (Or atleast that did used to be a thing anyway???)

Nail on head.
They get dispensation for club trained players (all of the French up to recently) plus extra allowances for each club trained international player(most of their squad).
They can also claim marquee allowances like everyone else.

Are they limited to the 7 non fed trained players line the rest?

Which obviously allows them to free up big chunks of cap space for big name signings

There is also the other attraction in that south of France, opportunity to explore Spain and France, as a player from APAC it does offer some family enrichment.

Wasn't there recently a disagreement about exchange rates..? Do they benefit from a weak £?

Just out of interest, let's take £2,100,000 as a value. According to XE.com, the current exchange rate for GBP<>Euro is 1.17217. Therefore, £2,100,000 = €2,461,557

If the exchange rate changes by ¢5 either way...

1.12217 : €2,356,557
1.22217: €2,566,557

that's a swing of 100,000 euros each way... interesting.
