Edwards was the only forward to come out of the game with any credit & QQ looks the real deal. Hampshire looked like the only player on the pitch with a rugby brain & we need somebody who can read the game & take charge so whilst he was excellent at fb I’d move him into the halves & have GOB at fb until Evalds returns.

Not sure we can afford that luxury, need to finish in the top 10 next year...
Go on amuse me who would you bring in?
I dont really have the information (availability, salary etc!) to select coaches but the fact is we are worse than at any point under DP despite having more luck injuries and opposition injuries/players been rested than Powell had (other than 2017). Its not just the results but we look awfuland pretty clueless.

Radford pulled one of his own signings off early in the game tonight because he thought Blair might be the solution highlights this.

we have lost a game after a good run Radders is crap last year i think at the top of my head we only won one home match but we were sad to see DP leave taking our best two players with him leaving the rest not all but some of his crap signings behind thanks DP i hope you are enjoying your new home

But we played most of the season with one eye on the challenge cup (and came extremely close), had less luck with injuries and still only missed the play offs on win %.

We've got an 18yr old winger who is the next BIG THING.

I'd buy a season ticket just to watch him be the top Cas try scorer.

By the way is anyone else finding these pop ups hard to deal with ?
Agree the way JQ scored that try in the second half for a lad his age he's going to be something special
Edwards was good again Rocky Hampshire played well I'd move him into the halfs for Wigan match but a lot of players were poor 3-4 out of 10 efforts
Moore was as bad as he was at Catalans week before but I'm not blaming him for lose Salford were the better team deserved to win

We’ve too many plodders in the team, And it’s fine to have a few - When you’ve got some fire power around them.

I won’t judge all the players on last night, As it clearly was a pathetic performance. But the week before they played well so it’s harsh to be that fickle.

We need to keep Edwards, Lawler is a decent acquisition, Watts and Westerman are solid. Massey always does his work.

But ultimately we need some fire power in the forwards, Players who will hit the ball at pace and bust holes in the defence.

It’s wrong to us Saints as the example, But almost every player is at virtual full speed gathering the ball and they bust holes, from the wingers to the props. That’s how you take a ball in and would then give Macca and the halves time to play. At the minute we’re been dominated in the ruck and the link plays are very easy to read as a result

Salford really wanted it last night and we didn't. When it got tough, quite a lot backed down. Says a lot when an 18 year old tries taking the fight to them and scores a worldy in the process.

Discipline was the deciding factor. Too many back to back sets for Salford killed us. We was out on are feet at times.

Just read Radders comments re. Blair..." ..I wanted to give him a go"
What!!
The most disappointing thing last night was our to use a Raperism " heads down, arris's up' mode of attack.
We were out played, outenthused and more appropriately out coached..all this by a Salford side who in recent years we've beaten comfortably, now it seem it's all change again with the possible out going/incoming 2023 of new faces Miller, Broadbent and the settling period with what that brings.
This season is a right off because apparently 'new faces' Mamo, Sutty, Kenny etc...is 2023 going to be a right off also?
My major concern with Radders is the style (sic) of rugby were playing(or not as the case may be).

That was always the concern and Hull fans warned us about it.

I actually think Radders is trying to play a more expansive game. I'm just not sure he is really able to coach a more expansive style and then we dont even have the right players to revert to his old way.

Ultimately the way I see it:

We lack big go forward players (Watts and Westerman aside).

We dont have a controlling half with a strong kicking game. (Not Radfords fault at this point).

We have two centres who are extremely poor defensively (2 of Radfords major signings)

Mcshane looks a shadow of his former self (unhappy? Potential clash of role with Westerman?)

We lack cohesion both in attack and defense and quickly fall apart against a well organized and enthusiastic team.

I'd be unable to look at myself in the mirror if I'd been yanked off to be replaced by Chesye Blair in order that the side might defend better

It says something when our best player tonight was a rookie 18yr old

Radford has brought this dirty illdisapline and infected the players with it...that is all his doing know one else...its shocking to see the classy turned into the trashy...i just cannot watch us at the moment

Im appalled at the way the players are giving stupid penalties milner for gobbing off at the ref....six again is as regular as Saints...but they can defend against it we are garbage at defending.

We never saw Watts given a ban when Powell was here yet this year hes spent most of the season sat on his backside

Olipherts just has no positional sense

I could go on but whats the point Radford has taken a competetive team and turned us into a penalty machine
Tbf milner has been a penalty machine for years but yes we're now garbage
Being a lip reader, the Ref clearly says on TV "you can't speak to me like that".... I have to say on this occasion that you know how to address the Referee from under 8's, I used to think that was what separated us from other ball games, but it is creeping in crowding the Ref and complaining...... If all Ref's took a hard line on it, I would prefer it.

We didn't lose because of it, Salford were just better.

Cant understand if he wanted to bring Blair on why he didn't take Olpherts off and put Mamo on the wing. It was clear on a few of the tries that Olpherts was way out of position and probably at fault for them. To Blame Mamo which it looked like he was doing was ridiculous. Has Olpherts got some dodgy photos of Radford or something..
