I'm sure the club would love him to stay but he either wants a move or we arnt prepared to offer him what Hull have or both

Re: Trueman
Some times when I read the forum l am at a loss.
There are few players who pull on the Cas shirt who don't come in for some stick at some point.
I am not blind to short comings of the team.
As for young Jake.
Only a young lad top tackler, hampered by injuries at times expected to win games single handed behind a beaten pack.
I personally rate the lad and if nurtured and given beater protection and a consistent partner may offer a long term solution and better value the an antipodean.
Keep him keeps a quota spot free as well.

And they will be even harder to find in Australia with the Dolphins building a squad for next season. The Firm wrote: ↑10 May 2022, 12:14 I’ve said before i’d have no problem with Miller signing as long as its alongside a more organising style half, probably from the NRL. Lachlan Lam is out of contract and looked good for the Roosters last year but has dropped back down the pecking order with Luke Keary now being fit. I’d be looking at him to pair alongside him if possible.
There aren't that many halves off contract in Australia who would qualify for a work permit, to think we’d be able to bring two in is a bit far fetched. You also have bear in mind their family situation and then hope they settle over here. Not an issue with Miller and with Lam already has family over here. Perfect duo for me, go get it done!

Re: Trueman
I just wonder what people expected from Jake after that back injury, its going to take a while to get up to speed especially mentally.
If we lose him to FC then in my opinion we have let a good un slip through our fingers and good uns are hard to find
good luck Jake lad wherever you end up playing

I agree mate it's like people who were constantly criticising him were just ignoring the problems he's had with his backAloysius Van Bradnik wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 07:26 I just wonder what people expected from Jake after that back injury, its going to take a while to get up to speed especially mentally.

Re: Trueman
Out of contract at the end of this season, so can be approached by other clubs since May 1st. Unless he's signed a deal that Huddersfield haven't announced, but that would seem a bit odd.jackknife wrote: ↑10 May 2022, 18:27Is he under contract?nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑10 May 2022, 18:10 I think one option might be closer to home, more attainable and take up less of the salary cap.
Ollie Russell looks like he’s becoming a great half-back, and also a top class goal kicker.

Similar to people criticising Sosaia Feki, who were just ignoring the problem with his calf, then knee, then Achilles snapping.tigerfeat wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 08:05I agree mate it's like people who were constantly criticising him were just ignoring the problems he's had with his backAloysius Van Bradnik wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 07:26 I just wonder what people expected from Jake after that back injury, its going to take a while to get up to speed especially mentally.

I'm calling it early. We will lose Trueman, bring no one in to replace him and give GOB the 6 shirt to save costs.

Well apparently he’s over his back problems now. So why is he still hit and miss still.tigerfeat wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 08:05I agree mate it's like people who were constantly criticising him were just ignoring the problems he's had with his backAloysius Van Bradnik wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 07:26 I just wonder what people expected from Jake after that back injury, its going to take a while to get up to speed especially mentally.

Re: Trueman
I’m glad he’s signed a new deal.
Replacing Trueman with Russell would be like replacing an Aston Martin with and Arriva bus.

Re: Trueman
Russell has gone very well this year. Whist he was making a significant contribution to his team's run to the cup final, Jake Trueman was sat on his backside after a very poor performance in the quarters contributed to our exit.dettoriman wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 11:34 I’m glad he’s signed a new deal.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Trueman has not (yet) turned into the top half-back many expected him to be. Time is still on his side to some extent, but at the moment his best season was back in 2018. He's gone backwards since then.

O’Brien is a Decent FB but rubbish in the half’s.heritage1926 wrote: ↑11 May 2022, 10:48 I'm calling it early. We will lose Trueman, bring no one in to replace him and give GOB the 6 shirt to save costs.
Think Richardson will be off to so we will need two half’s.
