Shame were not involved but should be two interesting games I've gone for Wigan and Huddersfield

What a fantastic first game! I went for Wigan and Rovers - just need Rovers to do the business now and my beers free tonight 😀

Watson's a excellent coach but HKR have been really flat to say it's a big game I don't think coach Smith announcing he would be leaving did the team any favours

I think we can say the CC has lost all it's glory.

£25 for three games of top class RL and such a small crowd.

I remember going to see Cas play Hull in the semis in the early 80s . I think it was 3 times plus a replay in 4 years ( the other year York knocked us out)
They were brilliant games and my recollection was of crowds at Headingley of over 20,000.
I think it was Wigan’s team of full time professionals winning it 7 years on the bounce that killed it

Yep. I remember it well.
Hull was our bogey team in the 80’s especially in the cup.

I remember going to the york, we were expected to win.
We didn’t, I remember being in tears on way home.

I remember all them semi finals against Hull at Headingley there were big crowds for them nothing worse than getting beat in a semi -final but the worst I've felt after any game even beating the grand final for gut ache was the semi final loss to London was a while recovering from that one

I agree. I was near the front and Retchless putting that ball down seemed to happen in slow motion. Couldn’t believe what had happened
