IMO seating will spoil the atmosphere that we now get from having standing terraces on 3 and a half sides.
My understanding is that the current terracing/seating configuration will remain.
That would be crazy. Keep the ends standing, but the sides need seating.

Could try asking the fans what they want?

They did about 20 years ago when they said we were having a new stadium.

Fan base will have changed a lot but it’s a different question now, they tried a new stadium and couldn’t make it happen

i thought all grounds had to have a minimum of 2600 seats to comply with super league standards?

Correct.

Main stand - demolished and a new seated main stand in place.
WR end - standing, replacement roof
Princess street - standing, replacement roof
Railway end - standing, new roof

Same. Castlefields, walk through park and down lane.

What if thats too far? The parking and access at WR is utterly shocking. Not even got the common sense to make WR one way during game time.

Your comment comes across as if you believe that is the clubs fault?

Easy access is important to me as I have a long drive which can affect arrival time and lengthy walks aren’t an option.
There are major problems either with lack of close parking and/or with vehicular access and egress in most Superleague grounds new and old. Cas IMO is as good if not better than most
I’ve had problems with either distance or speed of access/egress at HullKR, Hull, Wakey, Wigan, Widnes, Headingley, Salford,Leigh, Bolton
The best are probably Wire, Saints and Huddersfield

It’s got worse since they put those cycle lanes in for some reason they started parking on both sides of road.they could make it much better if they. Could get hold of some of the over grown land close to ground that doing nothing for Parking we would have a great venue then.

The cycle lanes on WR are big enough for the Tour de France (maybe a bit of exaggeration but you know what I'm saying) and in all the years of walking up and down WR I can't remember seeing any cyclists 🙄 Rowntrees could be made useful imo.

Apparently we have already sounded out Doncaster as a possible temporary home stadium whilst development should take place early 2023.

It was stated that all works would take place without us having to move anywhere - we'd just reduce our attendance as necessary.

York would not be a bad shout if we had to reallocate for a short time lovely little ground with good parking

Presumably have to have contingency arrangements in place in case there are problems?

I imagine it will be done staggered with the main stand stand coming down in the off season so as not to cause issues for fans. Get that ready for the new season, and then we can maximise hospitality and money for our home games.

The logical order in my mind is then Railway End covered, moving fans into either new main stand or Princess St. Once complete then Wheldon Road End, which will allow home fans to swap ends and keep biggest stand open in Princess St.

Finally Princess St end back end of season ready for 2024?

That’s unless they can’t do it in two stages with both sides at once and then both ends at once?
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!
