It's more common now and needs more attention.
I visit a family member in a care home and the age range for dementia is lowering all the time. They care for people in early 50s with dementia and they hadn't come from a sport background.

Really sad news. Sorry he didn’t stay with us longer.
Dementia is a wicked disease and devastating both for the individual and family. Heartbreaking.

Awful to hear. Poor bloke. Always remember his second spell him hitting the winning drop goal against Widnes to take us into the game against Wakie the week after which gave us some hope in staying up. Life sure can be cruel

Tragic news, a very gifted rugby player who hardly put a foot wrong.
He was well respected by his team mates, both on and off the field.
