In my opinion Ryan’s best position is full back, he has bags of pace.
I think you're right on his best position but he's not better than evalds or O'Brien and Jason will only get better with more game time under his belt.
You may well be right mate, I wasn’t comparing him with Evalds and O’Brien just stating I think it’s his best position. ;)
I get that. Is there a reason you didn't get him back in rather than escare? Some of the stuff on here says he was anything from crap to fantastic.

I’m reading between the lines but I’d heard/read somewhere that we just didn’t offer him a contract, others said we’d offered him a lower contract, either way I’m assuming the relationship between club and player were soured. He was far from crap, he had a brain fart every know and then but his defense for his size was fantastic, he’s like lightning and to finish it all off I know the lad and he’s and he’s a great kid to boot. Michael Carter might tell you more, I know he used to lurk  on here from time to time. :)
Thanks Jin Jer. I heard he'd been offered a contract but wanted to look around first. He then came back to the contract and it was withdrawn. Well here's here now and hoping the farts don't come too often!

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, I’d be shocked if you ever came away from a game saying “that fooking Hampshire” apart from against us.

I'd be surprised, he played the full game and never once looked like he'd taken a knock. He could have done it in training this week

Hope it is wrong.
Message was it was done in the reserve game.
Now if someone was there watching the game and saw Hampshire play the full game then the message is wrong.

Another shocking bit of business by the board.
We had him on a months trial but offered him a contract after a week and this happens.
Wait till the months up and we could of got rid.

Taken from Aaron bower twitter page.

However - there's one blow. Ryan Hampshire broke his hand in his first game for Castleford in the reserves last weekend. Looking at six to eight weeks out. Gutting for Hampshire, Lee Radford says he'd have definitely played this weekend too

Imagin offering him a year when he's not played a game on his 1 month trial. Absolute shocking.

The fact Radford has stated he would definitely play this week tells us we could be down to bare bones....If O'brien is out we may need to keep Macca in the halves, go with Eden at full back and Olpherys Faraimo on wings (unless he unleashes Qare Qare)

How shortsighted of the club not to foresee that Rocky would break his hand in his first appearance for the club.

Probably Jake Trueman and Cheyse Blair’s fault anyhow….

Gutted for the club and gutted for Rocky, just not having much luck anywhere as a club. But they’re trying with limited resources. I expect things to improve but people need to be patient.

Firstly I have no official information to back my gut feelings up! I am also not aware of JQ current contract details. However I smell a rat! I think JQ is a gonner from the club once any current contractual obligations have been fulfilled. Hence why he is not getting near the first team at this time. I have been involved in the game too long. Watch this space.

Contract was terminated by Toulouse. Nit sure if hes got a contract somewhere but if we want cover at fb then I'd have prefered him to Hampshire or Escare
He was dismissed by TO for gross misconduct around the time this season started.

A handful players in that squad had refused to have their Covid jabs. Seems unclear if that was part of the reason why he went or if that situation was resolved.

Not sure where that leaves him at present…..

Thought we'd spent the full salary cap must be close to it if not
