Exactly. Williams had a bit of a go but both are underperforming on that showing.yorky wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 16:16very true & compared to what the potential wages are of widdop & williams & to be outplayed by mason linoSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 16:00 Very ordinary display by Wire.
I continue to be fascinated by the inept and seemingly disinterested displays by Widdop. Any persistent Trueman knockers might find the Wire half back’s efforts a useful comparison.
I like the look of Lino - covers the ground well…
Re: DP and Warrington
Isn't it? That is the top wage Oggy will ever have had. A 15 year career is short and the dedication involved is huge. When you look at the states of many a retired players body, its hard to say its worth it financially.

I don't know how Widdop looks at himself in the mirror does nothing in games and banks I presume the big money every monthSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 18:33Exactly. Lino Is turning into one of the best half backs in the League with a near 90% kicking average you'd be mad not to have him in your dream team.yorky wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 16:16very true & compared to what the potential wages are of widdop & williams & to be outplayed by mason linoSuffolkTiger wrote: ↑19 Mar 2022, 16:00 Very ordinary display by Wire.

Re: DP and Warrington
DP was good at polishing turds we have two many unpolished his signings still drawing a wage
Re: DP and Warrington
Powell must be hurting inside at that loss as I believe he never lost to Wakey at Cas for last 15 games against them !!
He really doesn't look like a happy chappy at the moment and wonder if their is internal issues going on or maybe the expectation on bringing Powell over to make the club bigger than Saints is way too much for Powell !! Pressure Pressure leads to Stress !!!
We gifted Wires 18 points when we earlier played them and I am expecting it will be a lot closer next time we play them !!

Re: DP and Warrington
There’s two coaches that shouldn’t be sacked this season (on current form) DP and Lee Radford.

Re: DP and Warrington
I cant see it.
They are in transition, new structures to get used to, new players.
Yes they are one of the richest clubs but money don’t always buy success.
Didn’t it take daryl a full season to get up to speed.

Re: DP and Warrington
The myth of Daryl Powell finally being exposed.
2017 was the right time right place, a complete fluke which has been born out, every subsequent season we’ve been on the decline. Fair play to him for taking the money while he still had the chance.

Re: DP and Warrington
I know you were pretty absent from this forum in 2017 Alf but Powell delivered three major finals, a league leaders trophy and regular playoff places after years of the club being in the doldrums going back to Steadman’s second season.
What he did was unparalleled in the club’s history. It was probably time for him to move on, but it’s unfair to
diminish what he did by suggesting it was all about everything fortunately falling into place for one season

Re: DP and Warrington
It's interesting to look on from the outside but I do believe he is close to, if not already, losing the changing room.
I've seen comments attributed to DP over the weekend along the lines of, players need to give me confidence and players need to look at themselves.
He can blame them all he wants, and he may be correct, but he won't win them over with that line.

Re: DP and Warrington
Next up for them is an interesting trip to Craven Park on Friday.
It’s probably a game that the Wire faithful would expected to win when the fixtures were announced. A reverse will only add to DP’s frustrations - as well as add to the Wilderspool unrest.
Hopefully, it’s a bruiser & KR pick up plenty of bruises ahead of the CC quarter final.

DP said yesterday a number of players are "Butting Heads " with me over what I'm trying to achieve for him to say that after only a few months in the job tells me he has a job and a half on his hands there
