Re: Ryan Hampshire
Meh
It’s a trial
Covers full back or halves and ours aren’t exactly setting the world alight.
Hopefully it give them a kick up the backside to start performing.
What I hope it doesn’t do is hinder development of youth, As that’s the future and as said - If we need a full back. Give QareQare a run out

I wouldn't take what the person takes seriously mate he's a wind up merchant who's appeared under a few different sign on names obviously likes to stick the boot in most people know the situation with Hampshire and given our situation as to be a sound move and I can't see it being long before he starts playing for usJIN JER wrote: ↑15 Mar 2022, 11:49Rubbish mate, you’re cherry picking there, the majority of fans liked Ryan, they just didn’t think he was creative enough in the halves where he wants to be selected. For a small bloke his defense is excellent, he’s great at FB and also he’s more than competent on the wing. I believe he left Wakey as he valued himself higher than the club did contract wise.Knockersbuses wrote: ↑15 Mar 2022, 11:23 He was awful for Wakefield..said so by his own fans....his defence his laugable at times...

Re: Ryan Hampshire
As a back up fair enough. Would like to know what he is earning as I heard he wanted a big pay rise end of last year

its not like we pick a scapegoat every season is it?
The usual suspects must be spoilt for choice this term
Judging by the tone of their posts, you have to wonder why a number of fans on this forum remain connected with our club if it's such a miserable, negative and unenjoyable experience.
I think it's a decent bet that Ryan will give everything he's got. that's fair enough for me.
The squad will not look like LR wants it to until next season.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
Misery can only work if there's something to be miserable about and we didn't have a great deal of in 2017.
Fans have a right to voice their opinion and that inevitably leads to some having different opinion to others. I'd rather have this scenario than the one under Putin who does not allow anyone to think differently.
Anyway, as for Radders building the squad he wants for next season, he's been affecting recruitment for almost a year and it was definitely his decision to bring in his old cronies from Hull. I do accept he may require a little more time to mould his gameplan but let's no kid ourselves that he's not working with a considerable number of his own tools.

What will hinder youth more if we get religated if it meams youth not playing to stay in league this season so be it .dettoriman wrote: ↑15 Mar 2022, 11:57 Meh

Re: Ryan Hampshire
Getting relegated was the best thing to happen for players like Nathan Massey & Joe Westerman (cut their teeth in NL), Oliver Holmes, Adam Milner, Daryl Clark (had to step up due to small squad). Sure others benefitted as well.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
For me, he has to be considered as a stop-gap as
we have cover in the halves and full back - if they were all fit.
DR (neck)out for how long???
Evalds (hamstring) out for 6-8 weeks???
McLelland supposed to be back April, but rumour has it that it is now more likely to be June!!!!
I hope that Hampshire will see this trial as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window for other clubs because I can’t see why we would need him when (I hope) we get some injured players back.
As others have said, match fitness may be an issue.

Re: Ryan Hampshire
You may well be right mate, I wasn’t comparing him with Evalds and O’Brien just stating I think it’s his best position.

Think JQ will start on the wing before full-back can't be that long either till he's called on

I get that. Is there a reason you didn't get him back in rather than escare? Some of the stuff on here says he was anything from crap to fantastic.JIN JER wrote: ↑16 Mar 2022, 11:04You may well be right mate, I wasn’t comparing him with Evalds and O’Brien just stating I think it’s his best position.
