Sums club up at minute.....going backwards.

Not good enough for Wakefield so how can he be good enough for us...

Jonathan Ford or Powell at wigan would of been any sign of ambition to give us stability

Smacks of desperation IMO.

Don't think he's done any sort of pre-season and not had a club. Wakey even passed on him coming back.

Is Lee feeling the pressure already?

I guess with Richardson out long term along with McClelland, a short term fix isn't too bad. Maybe evalds isn't back so soon.

Personally, I'd give Jason Q a go if it's a fullback we need, if it's a halfback then we can't get much worse. With him

I'd have Hampshire over Ford anyday of week I agree it shows the problems we have at half back but least were trying to do something
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

In my opinion Ryan’s best position is full back, he has bags of pace.

It's a 'trial' so no commitment at this stage although I've no idea hw a 'trial' works for such an experienced player? Are they allowed to play or just train?

Happy if we only offer him a deal to end of season.
This season just going be about staying up and then hopefully we will see some solid signings next season.

Rocky may not be the preferred option but he always gives 100% , something that seems to be lacking in the squad at the minute.
I will reserve judgement till he either shines or fecks up.

As said previously, at least the club are seeing there is a problem

I agree with that. It's another GOB situation, a fullback slotting in at half back hoping it works out.

The whole wakey team were awful so its a bit strange to single one out ,
its not like we pick a scapegoat every season is it?
The usual suspects must be spoilt for choice this term

5 weeks in and writing off the season off already ???? after so called big signings were made and Radford had 8 months to plan his pre season and signings? Why would next season be any better???

Happy enough with this. Decent player, gives us good cover and a good goal kicker as well.

Just for a trial I don’t have too much of an issue but how’s his fitness? Done nowt for months - it’ll take his trial period to even be anywhere close to match fitness. How far off is Mclelland? How about JQQ being given a shot at full back? Maybe throw young Collins / Sadler in to show what they can do?

Rubbish mate, you’re cherry picking there, the majority of fans liked Ryan, they just didn’t think he was creative enough in the halves where he wants to be selected. For a small bloke his defense is excellent, he’s great at FB and also he’s more than competent on the wing. I believe he left Wakey as he valued himself higher than the club did contract wise.

I can absolutely promise you he was anything but awful for Wakey, quite the opposite and the over whelming majority of fans wanted him to stay. We have missed him. He left because of a fallout with spend-thrift Carter. Cas have got a good one there and good luck to him.
