Re: Boxing day
I used to love it when we played Leeds on a Boxing day Headingley packed back in the day ...

Leeds have sold 6.500 tickets already restricting it to 9.000 I believe for COVID
Re: Boxing day
Same here, the Boxing Day and NYD games were a highlight back when we played a winter game. Not sure how people can get giddy about these non competitive run outs, I’d rather go for a walk
Re: Boxing day
Yeah I remember some great battles in the games over Christmas at that time Boxing Day was a apt phrase both on and off the field at times

Re: Boxing day
did most of us just love a boxing day game KO 11-30 after the game of to our pubs or clubs happy days
Re: Boxing day

Re: Boxing day
In winter rugby it was just part of the season. Now it's in pre season and the players aren't ready. I did like a cold boxing Day stood on the terraces, recovering from the overindulgence of the day before. A mix of starters and juniors.
Re: Boxing day
I miss the winter matches you can’t beat the smell of someone opening a flask of bovril or whiskey stood near you
Re: Boxing day
a few of my mates can be seen during the winter months at any of our local clubs watching a game almost every week

Rhinos new half back signings look very good together can make or break you season you half backs .Wish we signed at least one proven half back
Re: Boxing day
Let’s put it into perspective and look at the respective line ups. I could of looked good against that Wakefield side and I haven’t laced up the boots for 14 years!!

We won't sign a top half back while we have three all ready taking up a lot of our salary cap I wouldn't imagine for next season you might get your wish
