Running over 100 miles and raising over half a million in one day for MND causes what a effort from him really

Re: Kevin Sinfield
Excellent ambassador for our game and for MND going to donate £10 with the message best wishes from Luke Dorn.
Well done Kev.
Over half a million raised by this event alone.
The profile raised by him and that little nemesis Rob Borrow were no doubt instrumental in securing the £50,000,000 funding from central government.

Re: Kevin Sinfield
I, like most of us hated Kevin when he played for Leeds. Was it his unbelievable rugby skills? Probably not as I for one only ever saw him as slightly above average. Or maybe the title "Sir Kevin " that most Leeds fans adorned him With?
Well whatever the reason please take a bow Mr Shinfield. Yet again we need to remember that rugby players (whoever they play for) are human beings too. Kevin Shinfield! As a rugby player I might have hated you but as a person and role model I take my hat off to you. You are incredible

Here here, what a man, his loyalty to Rob Burrow is imense.
Hope he gets deserved recognition for his efforts from our monarch.
A true legend.

Re: Kevin Sinfield
I must agree with all the sentiments from Cas supporters about Kevin Sinfield. Rugby League can be a brutal sport on the field, but arguably the friendliest off the field. What Kevin has done for his friend Rob Burrows and MND transcends anything he achieved on the rugby field and almost beyond human endurance. It also though has profiled what a great sport Rugby League is when perhaps many might think Super League has no future. When Yorkshire cricket has quite rightly taken a battering over racism, Kevin has shown that Yorkshire folk are worthy for the expression of ‘Yorkshire grit’. I’ve not been in favour of knighthoods being awarded to sportsmen and women for achievements on the field, but what Kevin has done off the field is purely amazing and he deserves a knighthood which I’m sure will be forthcoming in the New Years honours list.

Re: Kevin Sinfield
Whilst I agree with your sentiment Ken, the only downside of the current Sinfield is that he is and always has been, a Lancastrian.
As much as I hated him as a player, there is no doubt he has done more than most that are awarded knighthoods and is a loss to RL.

Re: Kevin Sinfield
As much as it pains me to say it about a Lancastrian Rhino that I couldn’t stand when he played, I agree. He deserves all the accolades he gets. Also, with the job he’s doing at Leicester, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him in the England RU set up in the future.mart0042 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 11:01I agreeFIat Capper wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 10:56
