I see that current overseas quota rules have been broken / bent to allow Wigan to sign an extra player.
Tommy has been allowed to re-sign as a non overseas player to allow them to sign Cade Cust as their 8th overseas player, contrary to the 2021 amended rules.

well Wigan never did adhere to the rules, only their own.

I think he’s one of the remaining players who can claim exemption because they played in SL prior to the introduction of the non-fed quota rules.
It’s a bit daft that they are still exempt even if they have moved back to Australia and then back to SL, but he’s not the first to take advantage of that loophole.
