Making people feel a sense of belonging and ‘part’ of the club community is integral to retaining current supporters and drawing in new ones. The concept of ‘membership’ promotes this.

every year we have a topic like this, virtuous posters telling the rest of us they are buying season tickets to support the club. Well done, if you are happy to pay cash up front for a product of unknown quality to be delivered on an unknown date then good for you.

However, please don’t come on here at various points in the season complaining you can’t get to games because Sky have rescheduled a match at short notice.

You pays your money you takes your choice

Someone explain membership to me please.
Same as season ticket but monthly payments?
I donated my ticket to club in 2020.
So it's reduced cost for me if I choose it (but with a 12 quid one off fee for 'admin'?

What benefits do you get?
Is it worth it? Or do I just get a season ticket at Christmas?

That’s what the memo I saw said. Thought I’d share it. Also said stuff about average gates and revenue needed per game but didn’t have chance to commit that to memory. What I did remember was they wanted 2,000 sales by the end of this month and we’re on 1,744, which included 67 distributed free to Life Members, etc.

I'd be happy with 2000 after covid but this "new era" need really bashing out. Posters around the five towns, coaching and playing staff into the community and a big online media push. Hoping that starts when they are back in after their end of season breaks.

This new membership scheme is an absolute money maker and should have been done previously to this season. Hundreds of new members who wouldn't usually buy a season ticket or able to afford £260 outright, are now able to do so.

Speaking to someone down Cas, they reckon it's brought an extra 6 figures in to the club. Myself, 4 members of my family and at least a dozen people I know, are all members now, who usually wouldn't, as we have just bought match tickets on the day.

They’re looking at offering 2 free tickets in exchange for the rebate money for this years St. Helens fixture. To encourage newcomers to the jungle and hopefully have a full house. They’re just waiting for the new fixtures to see how it fits.

it used to be great for attracting new fans. i loved it when we had the jugglers and clowns (before the game) and parachute displays landing on the spot. robbie williams blasting out "let me entertain you" really set the tone. mascots riding out on mini motor bikes just built a fantastic atmosphere.
