You can renew now mate. If you can’t get to the ticket office between 09:30 and 16:00, give them a call

You can renew now. If you donated in 2020 a concession is £130. Either phone up or go down.

Note that the ticket office is the one at the ground and is only open at those times, Monday to Friday…

With the new pay monthly option do we still get the season card? If so does anyone know when that is ready for collection?

Is the membership actually value for money?

I've seen it's £21.66 a month over 12 months, with a £12 subscription booking fee which makes it £271.92 in total. A season ticket out right is £260. I know it makes it easier paying monthly, not everyone has £260 up front, but doesn't seem value for money, unless i've missed something?

I’ve paid in full and they are providing a new ticket this time so I presume everyone will get a new one

The setup fee is a one-off during the lifetime of the subscription, so as long as the membership maintained year-on-year, you’ll never pay it again.

I guess it also helps the club to budget, knowing they have set income each month, irrelevant of home games.

Topics like this can become really divisive when they don’t have to be.
In the past, the idea of a season ticket was to ensure you could get to all the games a little cheaper. The world has changed though, particularly with covid, which had a huge impact on the club - I really don’t think I’m being flippant by saying it had/has the potential to finish the club forever.
So; it appears that the club are trying to evolve too. The idea of a membership is about being part of something, like you’re part of a community. You might lose the free games, but it’s a way of ensuring the future of the club. If you can afford it, I would urge you to sign up. If you can’t; that’s fine; I know you’ll support the club in a way you can.

For what it’s worth, I truly believe the club is going to have a huge fight in its hands over the next 5 years. Treading water on the ground situation is no longer an option & we’re going to have to bite the bullet at some point & start to spend money on the old girl.
Toulouse are here, they’ll be followed by Newcastle & possibly York in the not to distant future. What for us then? With Wakefield developing their East stand & the RFL trying to take out academy licence, the writing is in the wall - we have to make it too hard for them to get rid of us; improve the ground, get the crowds up & keep challenging on the field.

Sorry. Don’t believe either Newcastle or York have a sustainable future. If Sheffield, London, Bradford and for that matter Nottingham and possibly most relevant Gateshead couldn’t make it work, they won’t

Yep York and Newcastle won’t ever get near our crowds no interest in either city especially Newcastle now the football team is on its way up.

Just increase the league to 14 teams who cares what a ground looks like on sky look at Burnley in the premiership.

To answer the original post

My personal circumstances are that I live in the south of England travel up as many times as possible but as we know games can be any time of the week and it isn’t always possible.

I would therefore never have considered a season ticket as I always thought it wasn’t worth it and a big outlay.

I have however joined the membership scheme, for just over £20 a month I feel I contribute to the club I love and get the benefits that go with it.

It’s weird that just by parcelling up the deal differently and marketing it well how it’s changed my behaviour.

Well done to the club for this initiative, it doesn’t work for everyone I respect that, but for me you have my membership for life.

Great post. We have been season tickets for a lot of years but have found it very difficult to attend at all recently and we’re on the verge of cancelling for next year. The new system made our minds up to renew.
