Re: Fonua
Back to fitness and form, he's class and a certain starter. I'm loving our way of doing these contracts with small initial contract and then options in our favour.

Re: Fonua
Does this mean a Turner/Fanua centre combo?
Re: Fonua
I don't think you will see the Fonua that you want to

Re: Fonua
It's asking a lot for him to find the form of four years ago I agree we've been so weak in the centres he will still likely be an improvement tho
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Players who are centres now are:old cas lass wrote: ↑13 Oct 2021, 12:33Maybe a different environment is what he needs.
Huddersfield fans said same about turner. The rest is history.
Mamo, JT, Sutcliffe, Graham. He has to be better than at least one of them to get a game.
I like players having something to prove. Look at JT and Matagi. Both earned longer contracts and there was a real fresh air about them.

Re: Fonua
But played a bit at centre. Probably a bit of both, baring in mind we've had Meeks, foster, oggy and Blair play both. He's more of a centre than all of them.Pricey2000 wrote: ↑13 Oct 2021, 13:07Sutty s a second rowermart0042 wrote: ↑13 Oct 2021, 12:57Players who are centres now are:old cas lass wrote: ↑13 Oct 2021, 12:33Maybe a different environment is what he needs.

Re: Fonua
I was always 'interesting' watching JT and Shenny swap and change their positions during games but it could be a tad harsh on JT (one of the better performers from 2021) to cast him aside for the new guys...

Re: Fonua
Yeah I'd expect Turner to be on the wing like he was this year, but Mamo could certainly play wing if we did want that combination
