I wouldn't want Hardaker now. He would be nothing more than a waste of cap space and isn't better at centre than any of our options already in the squad. Fullback can be argued but it's definitely not an area we need to be spending money and I personally would take Evalds over Hardaker anyway

Re: Hardacre
Think Wigan would rather see him go to Featherstone then to Cas as they seem to have given Featherstone more flexibility in the deal. I'd expect what ever happens it to be sorted this week.

Re: Hardacre
He'll end up at Wakey then if anywhere. Surely the rumour of him back to Cas has been killed with Fonua signing. I know it's nice to have good squad players but Cas don't have the fortune for it. We need to sign for our 17 and with a backline of Evalds, Fonua, Turner, Mamo, Faraimo we're already strong in those areaswesterbeast73 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021, 19:23 Fev are getting beat and cant see Hardaker wanting to play in the championship. Re: Hardacre
It could make sense for them - they’ve just re-signed a 36-year-old Tommy Leuluai who has been poor for a couple of seasons now, so they might well be willing to take the chance that they can unlock Richardson’s potential.

Re: Hardacre
Richardson is the cousin of Harry Smith they played together for the England knights not sure if the new Wigan coach wasn't involved in training them... maybe all nonsense but wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world if there was a player swop at some pointnottinghamtiger wrote: ↑12 Oct 2021, 10:05It could make sense for them - they’ve just re-signed a 36-year-old Tommy Leuluai who has been poor for a couple of seasons now, so they might well be willing to take the chance that they can unlock Richardson’s potential.

Re: Hardacre
Guessing this would leave Turner out of the team to then be used as cover. Which don't get me wrong he is the ideal player for that role with his range of positions, but he's also done well in a Cas shirt and doesn't deserve to be dropped. It'll be an interesting one

O'brien, will he get a shirt? Think he deserves to get into the 19 , good back up in case our fullback gets injured.

Re: Hardacre
Not sure. Neither he nor Turner are halves in my opinion but unless we want Trueman and Richardson in, who really don't seem to click together, we'll be playing one of them. I've said it multiple times but I'll say it again, we don't want a utility or a kid, we want an experienced half backfast hands wrote: ↑12 Oct 2021, 17:34 O'brien, will he get a shirt? Re: Hardacre
Now don’t shoot the messenger.
Just had a text message from someone.
Saying and its oni a rumour. A swop deal between zak and Evalds.
I hope not, zak is 30 Niall is 27.
I know who’d get the best deal. We’d be looking for another FB in 2/3 years.
This isn’t gospel. It’s a message I got and asked if I’d heard owt, which I hadn’t.
Could be a load of bull which I hope it is.
Anyone else heard this.

Unless they are sending Zac with a wheelbarrow full of cash this would be a terrible deal.old cas lass wrote: ↑20 Oct 2021, 18:43 Now don’t shoot the messenger.

Dont Wigan also have French still next year?
Re: Hardacre
Wouldn't make any sense Evalds has his best years ahead he appears a model pro why swop him for someone that caused us a heap of trouble last time he was here
