Same here, if it was pay per viewing depending on the price and what game it would be, I might consider that. But I won’t be paying a fee every month.
Like you say, I pay enough for sky.

I think they've chosen the right day. If it was a cheap price, maybe £30 a year and guaranteed your club will be on at least 3 times a year, then there would be a take up by lots of people but it's £12.99 a month which wouldn't be worth it to the occasional watcher.

But at least they've done something positive.

As mart says above, at least the RFL have done something positive to get Championship games on TV. I’ll see nearer the time if there’s any promotional offers/discount codes etc…. I used to have Premier Sports when they showed the NRL and the coverage wasn’t too bad but, as others have said, I pay enough for SKY so it’ll need a good promotional offer to tempt me again.

So how much is this deal worth to the RFL?

That's the spirit!

On s sensible note, i dislike Thursday matches as it takes all evening to get over the Pennines and then the road closures on the way back adds to a very long night. I don't enjoy myself as I'm thinking about getting up for work the next day. Monday's would be the same but I'll wait for sky to shaft us on that front.
