Word coming from last nights award ceremony is that Blair might not be returning to cas if he can secure a club back home?

That wouldn’t surprise me.Meat and potato pie wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 13:28 Word coming from last nights award ceremony is that Blair might not be returning to cas if he can secure a club back home?
Re: Blair
Wants to be near his family. Dont blame him at all. Can't see him getting an NRL contract though and if he does it won't be for the money he's earning now.
Re: Blair
What’s he earning now like?
Re: Blair
I wouldn't mind if he stayed over in Aus just hope he doesn't leave it last minute and radford has a chance to replace him.

Re: Blair
Agreed so maybe his salary could be used on a prop instead or maybe even a half back.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 15:41That's the key but we have three new signings in Edwards, Westerman and Sutcliffe, all of which are better in the back row than Blair imo

Or even for a blockbusting centre like we thought we were getting when we signed Blair.jackknife wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 16:29Agreed so maybe his salary could be used on a prop instead or maybe even a half back.LeagueLeaders wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 15:41That's the key but we have three new signings in Edwards, Westerman and Sutcliffe, all of which are better in the back row than Blair imo

Re: Blair
I would suspect he would be on relatively similar money in the reserve grade to flat salary here, that's not wild speculation by the way, the elite competition in Aus is vastly different as we know, which in turn is a rising tide which floats all boats.
I can imagine being round the world from your family is not the best mind-set to be in for elite sport.

Re: Blair
This is needed for both parties. Clearly it hasn’t worked out for Cheyse and we could spend his quota and wage on something better.

Re: Blair
I agree - Sometimes things work, sometimes they don’t. It’d be best for all concerned. We have enough back rowers so using Blair’s money on an out and out prop (we have enough ball handling forwards) would make sense to me and balance the pack better. If there’s any available, that is.MrRugby123 wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 17:37 This is needed for both parties. Re: Blair
Sorry I have no idea where these rumours start but this is definitely not true. Cheyse is 110% loyal and coming back to Castleford ready for pre season.Meat and potato pie wrote: ↑04 Oct 2021, 13:28 Word coming from last nights award ceremony is that Blair might not be returning to cas if he can secure a club back home?
