No it’s owned by a company. Salford haven’t been hitting their attendance targets and are struggling financially, so although the ground was built as a home for Salford rugby league they look like they will be moving to a smaller but better located stadium for their fanbase

Been ongoing a while. It's pretty certain moving forward they'll be playing at Moor Lane, Salford FC's ground.

All these little snippets you keep hearing about Rugby League clubs. Doesn't give you much confidence in the game does it. Christ were getting in a right pickle. But at the end of the day what can we do it's a shame really. I reckon 5 to 7 yrs down line a few clubs will be part time or folded. And we're not out of the woods either.

that's the way i've read it mate.
salford fc and sale ru are just waiting for salford rl to admit its the only way forward. salford red devils can't afford the rent and can't afford to pay half the costs of buying the stadium. #wheres marwank.

That’s why expansion rarely works. Always based on consultants predictions of onfield success filling stadiums. How does that happen when there are 14, 12 or even 10 teams and there are only 3 major trophies and one of those, the one for actually finishing first in the league is universally derided?

I sound like a broken record but I agree with you Tamworth, literally no idea other than self-interest what rugby league, super league or the RFL is trying to achieve, while everyone looks down and in at their own interests, its dying on its backside.

It isn't that long ago that, under that setup, Cas were getting crowds of 3k. Clearly not the way to grow a sport

Thing is FC, fans are staying away in their droves.
What is the answer.
The whole sport needs a total overall from top to bottom.

The game will stagnate until them running the game are got shut of and people brought in that actually know the game and not slowly killing it, start by kicking sky into touch and as someone has already said go back to sat and sun games and get shut of all the stupid changes that has been applied in other words revert the game to what it was 30yrs ago.

would that still be a tap restart or would we go back to scrums?

Absolutely and I've just seen on Facey that the RFL and SLE have agreed to work together but we all know any review needs to look at the people ru(i)nning the game.

A winning team!!

The growth in crowds from 2014-2017 proved that.

Not all teams can be winning.
Only 2 trophies to play for per season.
Maybe if it weren’t the same teams every year people may get more excited for the game.
