Are there any other examples of brothers opposing each other at Wembley? (RL that is)

A few lines on this here. Not sure if the Sculthorpes did end up opposing one another.cogito ergo sum wrote: ↑06 Jun 2021, 22:31 Are there any other examples of brothers opposing each other at Wembley? (RL that is)

Re: The Mata'utia Final
I guess not anymore - Sione given 2 x 1 match bans
Terrible for him and missing final but not sure how you can enter 2 guilty pleas at same time and benefit from the ban being reduced

Both bans, or just one of them?
Re: The Mata'utia Final
Both will get overturned without a doubt.

Does the appeal take place next week and therefore allow him to play the final?

Re: The Mata'utia Final
If they overturn two bans for separate offences it will ridicule the entire process. Nothing new there though!!

Re: The Mata'utia Final
i bet the rfl overturn one of the bans and he takes early guilty plea for the other n plays in final.
Yet if it was one of ours the ban would be extended to 3 games.

Re: The Mata'utia Final
Surely early plea is not available to him now, he's appealed.
At the very least the ban should remain but the panel did set a precedent when upping Watts' ban.

Re: The Mata'utia Final
Rarely do bans get overturned. Even rarer is then going up.
I would suggest that challenging 2 bans would be chancing your arm. Why didn't that make it frivolous? Does wanting to play in the next match mean something different to CAS and Watts challenging his ban?
Very strange goings-on.

One gobbed off on twitter at the initial decision and the other didn't

Re: The Mata'utia Final
I get that but to appeal means that there has to be grounds. That being either the wrong grading or an excessive punishment.the machine wrote: ↑14 Jul 2021, 17:30Ormart0042 wrote: ↑14 Jul 2021, 10:04 Rarely do bans get overturned. Even rarer is then going up.

To penalize a person and club for being unhappy is petty.
