Tom Lineham
Leaving Wolves at the end of this season, would not be surprised if he's Cas bound with the Radford Hull fc connection.
Re: Tom Lineham

Re: Tom Lineham
Maybe some of them are leaving. Can we rely on faraimo with his disciplinary record and feki .. well being feki
Re: Tom Lineham
I’d be happy with that him and Farmino for Feki Clare and Eden would be great business.
Re: Tom Lineham
But who then is the cover on the wings when one of Linehaul or Fariamo get injured or banned?
Also, does this mean that we’ll be linked with every ex-Hull player who has a link with our new coach?

Re: Tom Lineham
Olpherts shouldn't be dropped for lineham. He's been outstanding.
Lineham is full of mistakes and bans, but good on his day. Wou look d take him over feki on the basis he plays s bit.

Re: Tom Lineham
Its only like Powell tapping up all his ex Leeds players that have come to Cas. If Radford gets on with certain players that's a good starting point.
This was not me saying if will deffo be happening, it's me saying I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen.
Re: Tom Lineham
I don’t think any of our players have been outstanding this far. However, I did think that Olpherts carried the ball strongly yesterday.
Re: Tom Lineham
Olpherts has done ok, nothing more, nothing less. Lineham would be an upgrade in terms of pure ability but he is far from the sharpest tool in the box and comes with many a brainfart. Given Farimo is supposedly on his way, Olpherts is signed up and Quarequare and Clare are under contract i doubt we need him. I suppose we still have the lesser spotted Feki next year as well.

Re: Tom Lineham
We must be watching a different team. His shear workrate is huge. The metres he makes from his own tryline is fantastic.
Look at last night, his was the only line break I remember.
I was sceptical when we signed him but proved me wrong.
Still, we all have opinions.

Re: Tom Lineham
Relative to the majority of the team barring McShane and Turner, yes.
Like any winger he makes the odd mistake but he has scored decent tries, his returns from his own line have been huge - arguably better than some of our forwards at times. Didn't he burst through and make a 40/50m break yesterday as an example? I was saying to my brother yesterday it is surprising how many post-contact metres he makes. I just wish he would run forward more and not sideways.
Given the expectations when he first signed, and his performances they are poles apart.
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!
Re: Tom Lineham
The only thing I will give him he is good at running the ball in, apart from that his positioning in defence is awful, to evidence that we have HKR at home, Warrington away and yesterday’s mis read for Catalans first try and he is slow! His finishing is poor as well he’s needs a lot of space to score and is poor at finishing in the corners.HuddsTigers wrote: ↑25 Jun 2021, 13:52Relative to the majority of the team barring McShane and Turner, yes.

I think people see the metres he makes and think he’s good, which I do admit is good and probs the best in the team, other than that he’s below average and shocking in defence
Re: Tom Lineham
Hope feki stays and plays next year but that’s unknown, would leave us with olpherts Clare and farimo if feki doesn’t stay and Eden goes to Fev as is been rumoured even personally think lineham is better than them all and we need some depth there turner is not a winger and personally think he will takes petes place.

Re: Tom Lineham
Faraimo, Olpherts, Turner, Quare Quare and Feki still has a year left (plus Brad Graham) amd the rumour of Mamo who could could centre or winger, so cannot see why we would spend salary cap on another winger.
I assume Eden and Clare will leave.
Priority has to be half backs, followed by centre and Prop.
Unfathomable that we have turned down, according to Gratten, club record bids for Trueman, especially knowing the situation with his back at his age and the fact he will probably leave for nothing the following year.
Then on top of this the way Richardson has panned out and the fact that GOB is not a long term answer.
