I think that would be harsh on Richardson who had his best game of season I thought on Friday. Sky were lauding over Truey but for me Richardson was the dominant half all game.

He got a bit of stick at the start of the season did Danny but he’d come off the back of a nasty wrist injury so didn’t have much fitness or training done. I like Danny and I think he will become a very good player for us this season. People talk about Trueman but I think Danny will be just as good for us.

I thought Richardson was the better half back last week.
I’d leave him there, trueman will alway set a start.
So imo it’ll be trueman and Richardson.
GOB maybe on the sub’s bench.

I agree OCL, Richardson wasn't bad at all on Friday night. The more he plays, the more he'll get that match fitness and sharpness back. Would be a step backwards dropping him, if he's not injured.

GOB provides so much cover from the bench, even if we run out of forrards he could fit in somewhere in the back line with maybe Shenny or even Turner going in the pack.

I'm guessing Eden may be rested after he picked up a knock, precautionary reasons only.

I agree with this. Think Clare will just be in the squad this week to get back into the match day mindset.

Possibly even play one of the young lads over Milner but doubt that would happen.

A decent squad, with the pack we put on the field and the interchanges,Salford will struggle to contain them, their first choice six may hold their own for the first twenty minutes but they haven't got the bench to do it for 80. If the backs stay on the shoulder of our big lads I'm confident they'll find the gaps and tries for a good win. One off cup games are generally tighter and if Salford spread the ball wide and play off the cuff more they might get closer than last week but still see them coming up short.

Would rather give the young lads a go over hop skip and a jump JSL.

There’s four changes for the Red Devils, with Dan Sarginson, Elijah Taylor, Ryan Lannon and Dec Patton all returning from injury. They replace Andy Ackers (ankle), Krisnan Inu, Morgan Escare and Josh Johnson. Jack Wells, Matty Costello and Joe Burgess (ankle) remain unavailable.

Ackers was probably their most dangerous player last week while also Escare and Inu can be dangerous so its good to see them 3 bot playing.

We look stronger and they look weaker. I'm going for a nice win by 20.

Salford could be dropping Inu for Saturday, over some comments he made on social media supporting Jarryd Hayne (who's just been sentenced to 5 years for rape).

Elijah Taylor is a big boost for them, he's looked very good in the games I've seen. Agree that Andy Ackers looked dangerous for them, I don't think Dec Patton brings that same spark from hooker.

I'd probably line up like:
Evalds
Turner
Shenton
Mata'utia
Olpherts
Richardson
Trueman
Millington
McShane
Griffin
Holmes
JSL
Massey

Watts
Smith
Milner
O'Brien/Martin

Can't decide on that final bench spot, both deserve places in the squad. I think I might lean towards having another forward to rotate rather than the utility O'Brien brings.

Such a deep squad this season it's great.

don't think patton was injured last week, it just said misses out. so it may actually weaken them.
