Doesn't mind being wrong but cant just admit it. Typical Fumper style, has to have a dig at someone else to try make himself feel better for being wrong. For someone who thinks he's so in the know you would have thought he would have known about Powell going.
Re: End of an era
Again, your point? At the time I made that comment, what I said was true. No where in that report does it mention Powell and / or Trueman going to Warrington.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑19 Mar 2021, 18:13Fumper27 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 21:24Can you highlight to me the bit where it says that Daryl Powell is his replacement and Jake Trueman is also going to Warrington, as per your OP?Tigertapoutcap wrote: ↑17 Feb 2021, 20:46 For anyone that didn’t believe me at first, now look and see it’s slowly happening right in front of your eyes.C02AF838-94CD-409C-A1F6-49443B4F6284.jpeg
Re: End of an era
At the time I posted, I wasn’t wrong. Based on today’s press release, I’m still not as it’s not confirmed that Powell has signed as Warrington head coach in 2022. I don’t believe that you can judge anyone by today’s news on what they commented weeks ago.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑19 Mar 2021, 18:20 Doesn't mind being wrong but cant just admit it. Well done to the person who said Powell was leaving, OCL I think. If Powell does end up at Wire next year, well done to to OP of this thread too
I’ve never claimed to be ITK. I do, however, share careful selected bits of information that I come across from a reputable source.
Also, I like how you feel the need to single me out when most posters dismissed the OP as tosh. You make me feel special.
PS - are my views more valid because I have a 2021 season ticket?

Good shout. Let me be the first to apologise for being a none believer....Tigertapoutcap wrote: ↑08 Feb 2021, 21:12 HEARD IT HERE FIRST
Daryl Powell has put pen to paper as head coach of Warrington as of 2022
PS - you still need Trueman to go as well to be 100% right

He is usually right, but that is not confirmed. Confirmed when statement comes from clubs or it comes from horses mouth.Pricey2000 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2021, 14:44Yes by Matthew shaw
COYF!
Re: End of an era
Whilst MS is more often right than wrong, what’s being asked is what is his official capacity at either club to be in a position to “confirm” the deal?Pricey2000 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2021, 14:43By Matthew shaw
Unfortunately, some people don't believe these stories until confirmed by the clubs in question.

Re: End of an era
Matt Shaw said he expects Cas to name the new coach in the next 6 weeks but certainly before the Jun 1st anti tampering date. This to give him time to evaluate the staff.
I'd guess they'd hide a poor coach announcement with the signing of extended contracts.
For me there's not been a stand out name bandied around for the new coach, the minimum has to be that they've won something as a head coach.

End of an era, start of a new dawn. That's the beauty of sport, one week you can be flying, the next you can be shot down. If sports and particularly Rugby League was predictable, we'd never watch it.

Yes, very much so. He e always going to leave. Better now at rebuilding phase rather than getting players in and the new coach not wanting half of them.heritage1926 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2021, 10:10 End of an era, start of a new dawn. Exactly, I am pleased we are making these changes from somewhere solid, unlike when Basil et-al were shuffled off when it was desperate times.heritage1926 wrote: ↑07 Apr 2021, 10:10 End of an era, start of a new dawn.
