Semi finals

Post by daytona » 19 Nov 2020, 21:53

A tough first half in the first Semi with some favourable refereeing in Wigan’s favour so far surprise surprise. Penalty for tapping a player on the head is a new one on me. Not only is Partington a horrible grub of a player, he seems to get protected by the refs as well. If ever a player needed levelling it is him. Having said all that though Hull fell into a Cas like sulk after that incident and conceded two try’s on the back of it.

To be fair though Wigan are certainly a class above this Hull team.

Thought Sneyd turned in a vintage 2014 Challenge Cup final type performance. Pies defence all over him like a cheap suit.

Probably. He learned from his many mistakes - at our expense.....

Would it be unfair to say that half of semi finals rugby was championship standard? Can’t believe how bad it’s been. Bet Wigan are licking their lips at the thought of playing one of these next week.

Glad rugby won through tonite. Perhaps if Catalan (Wimbledon Crazy Gang) Dragons had come out with a better game plan, they might have made a better fist of it. I have a soft spot for the Saints I have to admit, but after congratulating a couple of very dear Saints season ticket holders, I have asked them to look back at one of the games between them and Cas this season and to look at the treatment they dished out to Richardson!!

I am very forgiving, just once, so come on Saints next week all day long despite a very dear Wigan friend I work with.

It's not lost on me that the winning team put out nearly a full squad and the other one didn't. What a difference it makes.
