Could go a long way as to why Wattsy was blowing tugs when the full 80 is normally no problem.

I'm not surprised really. Fatigue makes you vulnerable to viruses. And playing all these games in such a short turnaround doesn't help.

first of all I’d like to wish the 12 members of the club a speedy recovery.
It’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, after experiencing it myself and still even after the virus as gone I still feel unwell.

I hope now the RFL will take heed and cancel the season, the virus is rife just now and picking up speed as we go into winter.

So you’d assume tests were done prior to the Leeds game and the result’s just come through. It should be interesting to see if our game goes ahead this Thursday.

Season should be scrapped. Every game is meaningless and the playoffs/final will be seen as a nothing trophy this year. Players are being made to play too many games with little time between them and pretty much every week matches are being cancelled.

Bring it to an end, give the players a rest, full off season and see what happens next February.

Tests carried out weekly every Tuesday. Results usually 24-48 hours after.

The fact that the virus is most infectious, detectable and also symptomatic at around 5 days suggests this could have been introduced into the camp on matchday vs Hull KR or in captain's run Wednesday (though given negative test two days earlier, this would raise more questions).

Given the limited interactions after with training due to the game Monday and nothing last Tuesday, and smaller groups for gym work and physio, the high number suggests it is when the entire group were together.

It will be interesting to see if either KR or Leeds report cases or symptomatic people over the coming 5 days.

If all 12 played in the Leeds game then that is extremely worrying.

I'd also say our next game vs Leeds is in doubt too. Players have to isolate for 10 days, which is either matchday or the day after depending when you start it from. On top of our injuries and lack of fit players, I think we would be better off just saying cancel it and letting Leeds play one of their games that have been cancelled previously.

Track and trace say you start from the time of you first symptom.
Say you have a cough on Monday and you dont get a test until Wednesday and result Friday. Track and trace will give the monday as your first day. The virus stays in the system for 5 days.
Though you still can have symptoms and feel unwell for weeks after.

You could be on the money here Hudds Tiger.
Dark mutterings coming out of the Multiple Case Group at the RFL H.Q at Red Hall say aerosolization in the bus, from 3 hours sat together on the delayed journey to St. Helens, would appear to have been the super spreader.

Is 12 the highest number for one team up to now?

Either way, get well soon folks and come back roaring.

Good info Freelander. Actually sounds both very likely and very predictable. In any event sending four Yorkshire teams to play on the other side of the country in a level three area was negligent if not totally incompetent by the ruling body.
