Can we win one ?

This and the Wakey game are probably the only realistic winnable games left. Which is absolutely depressing.

You just know Wakey will finally beat us when we do play them, which would top really be the cherry on top of an already disastrous year.

If we lose to Wakefield then it will be the first time in 15 games. We will lose to them eventually. Remember we lost 10 in a row, I think, at one time a few years ago. I am sure most of us know a Wakey fan and that we have given them some stick about 14 on the spin.

Under the circumstances with everything taken in to account it wouldn’t be the end of the world if we did lose would it? I know the few times I watched both teams that Wakey are more enthusiastic than we have been and they raise their game against us.

They won’t need to raise it much to beat us this time will they?

I'm dreading Leeds putting a cricket score on us in the game after ...

Hull KR game will be interesting. If Cas lose, I suspect Powell may well say that he has had enough and jump before being pushed. He is a proud man and would not want 'sacked' on his CV.
Also, he may realise that he is the one that has to carry the can. Yes, you can blame Wells, refereeing standards, injuries and fans still living in the wonderful year that was 2017 , but I think DP will take a long hard look at the situation and (privately maybe) admit that, ultimately, he has to shoulder the blame.
Even a win may only put off the inevitable.

Darryl is a top coach what's he's done at Cas as been terrific stuff
Just because he's made some wrong desicions dosnt change that fact if he can bring in the players he needs I'd back him to re-build the side successfully

Yes he is arguably the best coach in Super League. And yes, he could rebuild the side given different circumstances.
My original post was trying to imagine his mindset in the event of losing to Hull KR. I didn't criticise him at all.

If I were him id try and take a break at the end of the season come back raring to go
It must hurt him to see the way the team played yesterday that was unexeptable even allowing for the kind of season it is

How can you be the best coach in SL when you have won nothing, its just baffling people coming out with this

Will always be difficult with a 4 day turn around & small squad fit compared to the 9 days for HKR
