Penalty for daring to tackle Jake Connor when he’s lying on the floor.

COYF!
Re: Squad for hull fc
We have too many very average players. We’ve maybe 4 top level players and 3 of those aren’t playing. The rest aren’t good enough to win games in their own. Some of them just aren’t good enough. Get used to the bottom 3 because thats where we are going to be for a while.

I’m not quite sure what the penalty was actually for. Don’t think the referee did either as he couldn’t decide what the signal. No contact with the head, Moors just dropped on him because he was lying on the floor without any effort to move.Nobody wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 21:43Games gone softnottinghamtiger wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 21:40 Penalty for daring to tackle Jake Connor when he’s lying on the floor.

Well done Powell. Could tell he wanted to say something and she was trying everything to bait him.

On a more serious note - has Phil Clarke had to get his outfit from lost property?

Powell losing thenl plot on national TV is massively papering over the cracks at the minute. Worrying time on and off the field.
We are close to finishing bottom here. Teams below us have games in hand over us.

The commentators said it was a penalty but I thought they continued with the tackle count?nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 21:45I’m not quite sure what the penalty was actually for. Got a feeling Connor was offside at the end but of course the ref didn’t check.

Re: Squad for hull fc
Utterly frustrating game on so many levels.
The lack of discipline is infuriating and unacceptable yet it is nice to see the team finally showing some fight and aggression, and not taking any tosh.
I don't know what's gone on off field but it felt like that spilled on to the field tonight and ruined what was a winnable game.
Great start, failed to capitalise on the chances and got sucker punched by a try where it was our own fault. Stopped playing and let them walk it in all for a scuffle. Ill discipline then turned the game against us.
Good to get back into it and noses in front but I cannot believe we threw it away again.
I'm angry, frustrated, disappointed but non-plussed and feel like since lockdown everything is against us. Can't catch a break.
The ref wasn't a problem tonight, we were. There was a trip attempt on Shenton and the double movement rule annoys me when he's over the line and can put the ball down. But that's by the by.
Serious self-reflection needed and some humbling.
I do feel that Ganson's letter and Powell's charge has lit the blue touch paper for players tonight. He's entitled to protect his players and it felt like the players left no holds barred tonight after that. Licence to hit kickers late if it is wrong to call that out.

Yes we are all very frustrated at the moment but to try and read anything into this farce of a season in unprecedented times is an absolute waste of time. If, God willing, the world is allowed to return to some sort of normality next year, then we will see where we really stand in the scheme of things.heritage1926 wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 21:59 Powell losing thenl plot on national TV is massively papering over the cracks at the minute. If we finish bottom, it will hurt, but I'd rather finish bottom this season than next season, it will mean very little, be strong, keep the faith.

Some of the non playing member of the squad were mocking the refereeing decisions on social media, so Powells referee rants are clearly in the players minds. Imo this then creates an easy get out and this is an area we need to work on. Mental toughness when calls are going against you is very difficult but the real top teams and players are able to handle it.

Think he played everywhere tonight. Carried it through middle as well.

Re: Squad for hull fc
First time I’ve seen us clatter the kicker and leave the shoulder in on player passing the ball all season and penalised every time. Richardson sat down in stands because of being continually taken out every time he kicks. Where is the consistency? Obviously a change of tack tonight, loved the aggression but it probably cost us the game unfortunately. Another heart breaker but couldn’t fault the effort and commitment. Another good performance from Mcmeeken, and great to see Junior looking fit and playing massive minutes. Think he actually played full 80? Get some troops back hopefully and a win doesn’t look far off. Having said that we’ve lost seven out of eight and could have definitely won half of them with a bit more composure. Stop sulking, dust ourselves down and go again against the Whinos!
