If you change coach over a drop goal, I am done with all sport, not just rugby.

Is it perhaps because he has only really coached Cas.Lofthouse Tiger wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:14Don’t agree with a new coach instead of Powell but tell me why “The best coach in SL” has only won one trophy in his life of a SL coach?nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:06Rubbish.
Powell has never lost four consecutive SL games since he took over in 2013. Show me another coach who has done that.
We’ve gone from relegation candidates to consistently making the play-offs, a cup final and a GF. Every team goes through difficult periods, especially over the number of years Powell has been in charge.
He’s the best coach in SL.
Those stats are not the stats of “The best coach in SL” are they?
We will not win any trophies with team selection like RP consistently picks and we don’t have enough strike players to beat the top sides. Add to this the poor back up players we have then we are miles away from silverware.
Saints, Wigan and Wire as always are the top sides, we are not.

Toughed it out to get the win which is a positive.
Watts & Macca leading things. Confidence looked low at times across the squad. The 2 points will help that.

Not disagreeing. Just nice to see him back on the pitch after a rough 12 months with injuries.

Honestly, if we lose tonight I'm done.
Back in the real world, some of the reactions of fans on this site has been OTT from the outside looking in. This season at the end of the day, with everything the game has had to contend with, is a nothing season that most fans will label as meaningless at the end of the campaign regardless who wins what. The most important thing that needs to happen this season is, we complete the fixture list for the sake of the Sky money and that all of the rl teams survive financially. Next season, God willing we get there, will be a totally different ball game and this season, a season we will gladly forget.
Just give me a second to get my tin hat on shall i?

How many current coaches have won more at their existing club?Lofthouse Tiger wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:14Don’t agree with a new coach instead of Powell but tell me why “The best coach in SL” has only won one trophy in his life of a SL coach?nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:06Rubbish.

Saints, Wigan and Wire as always are the top sides, we are not.
He’s the best coach in SL for a few reasons:
Firstly, he’s taken the club from relegation candidates to trophy contenders.
Secondly, he’s had to deal with a number of the best players leaving, but has maintained performance levels.
Thirdly, he continues to keep the club competing with those who can pay marquee players.
Fourthly, he produces consistency. Every team loses games, but we very rarely go on a bad run.
Fifth, he gets the most out of every player. He signs players who have not been great elsewhere and improves them. It’s very rare that anyone who leaves the club goes on to perform better than they did under Powell.
Re: Salford Thursday
Happy to come back from 18-0 down happy to get the win but by god are we carrying some dead wood.eden, milner, shenton, moors and mcmeeken it’s time to move them on or retire.watts macca Richardson and milo outstanding.unless the deadwood improves we won’t be making top 4

There are many players and coaches across the game in addition to people in the media who understand the game who will respectfully tell you that you don't know what you're talking about.westerbeast73 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:22Let's see what we win this Year NOTHING as per usual, the best coach in Superleague who's won NOWT.lurcher wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:16i'm losing track of all this. is this similar to transgender?westerbeast73 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 22:10 So we win by 7 and all is forgiven, Powell go to Hull. Re: Salford Thursday
At the end of the day it’s our first win since March, I think everyone has to agree Powell has made some questionable decisions but looking from the outside in we don’t know everything that go’s on in training. Let’s hope we make a big push for the play offs and keep playing week in week out and for everyone to keep safe and healthy.
