Salford Thursday

Post by tigerfeat » 30 Aug 2020, 08:21

What changes would we like to see ,I see Salford picked up a few injuries yesterday
Trueman could hardly move at some points yesterday hope we don't put mcshane at 6 if Truey can't play

Come Thursday Mautautias back which should add some pace, and Claire may be out, so for me Eden on the left wing (if available due to internal reasons)injecting more pace and keeping him away from decision making.
We need some bite in the forwards from the bench, a fit Junior may offer that, if not Hepi who has pace, and O’Neill in for Milner who’s going through an ordinary patch.
Having played the best three teams twice now, there’s no excuse to get a run going and restore maximum confidence.

Are you insane ?

Why the hell are you dropping GOB who has been our best player since he joined ? He will only get better too. Only been with the team 3 weeks.

First time I've felt the need to post in years and that's because I cannot believe what I'm reading at times.

If Clare isn’t fit to play then I’d put hodgson on the wing.
Salford have a ton of injures, perfect opportunity to try the lad out.

Just my opinion pal. Thoughts are we need someone dynamic at 6 and O’Brien has played there in the past. I agree, think he’s started well, but season means nothing so why not try other options instead of revisit ones that haven’t worked before?

Even if Claire is fit I would put you on the wing OCL.

Enough is enough, Clare is a liability and costs us several points per game. He has to go, he just isn’t good enough.

On a plus point I think GOB has been outstanding since he came back. Played well In all the games he has played. Looks very good at the moment. Would put him at 6 if True an is injured with the young lad Hodgson at full back.

Good shout GOB in the halves. Let the lad show we he can do covering all positions, personally I’d like to give the lad a contract at cas if Toronto is no more. Would be happy to lose a few for that lad.

Think Jsl has to drop out for this one, gives penalties away, doesn’t make yards in attack and makes awful choices. Another player that has gone backwards.

Eden in for Clare. If Eden isn’t available, Hodgson in for Clare.
Mata’utia back in at right centre.
McMeeken out. Foster in to the back row. Hepi on the bench.
O’Neill in for Milner.

I doubt it will happen - can’t see Powell dropping Milner and McMeeken from the 17. But that’s what I would do.

Personally would like to see (/depends on Truemans fitness). Assumes no Blair or Eden available (both slot straight in if available Blair for Foster or even Shenton and Eden left wing).

O Brien/Hodgeson
Olpherts
Matutiu
Shenton
Hodgeson/Carr
Trueman/O Brien
Richardson
Watts
Mcshane
Smith
Griffin
Holmes
Massey

Moors
Millington
Foster
O Neil

Mcmeeken, Milner and JSL given a week off to see how we go.

Whats the problem with Blair?
He seemed to be going well in the back row before lockdown.

So is Feki injured? I haven't seen any confirmation of the rumoured hamstring injury and we could really do with him to provide some pace.
If he is injured, what's the prognosis? When can we expect him to be fit, as i know there are slight pulls right the way through to serious tears, so is it weeks or months?
Having him available with our short turnarounds would be a big plus after Eden's mysterious absence and now Clare's injury.
