If all fit then pretty good.

Problem we have is if we have to move players from key positions, McShane for instance to half back, then we are weaker. Whilst we have depth most of it will be out of position.

We are due a good run with injuries and if so we look good.

Before the break I thought we were looking the best team good chance of winning one of the two trophys
Be surprised if we do owt when it re-starts hope I'm wrong

Looks good on paper. The proof is in the pudding they say. If we compete we should do ok. But as we all know there's always something round the corner.

Fullback options look terrible, like a previous poster said we looked good before the break but now with a key position missing we won’t do anything.

DP spoke out on a recent interview saying he has no concerns with the squad come August/September but once October/November hits when I think there's a chance of 5 games in 15 days it's going to be hell. Take a few injuries, which will inevitably happen, we could have props playing fullback just to field the team. Tony

I’ve heard a lot of good things from young Brad Martin , signed him from Leeds and he’s played for England U19’S , seems to be a big mobile second rower

If we can’t bring in Evalds early, I think we’ll find someone else for the rest of the year. O’Brien is one option, but Olly Ashall-Bott at London is a good player who won’t be playing again in 2020. There are some players playing in the Championship who would be ideal if we want to bolster the squad this year to get through a congested fixture list - Eddie Battye, Rob Butler, Jonathan Ford, Brett Ferres, Dane Chisholm, Thomas Minns, Junior Sa’u, Jordan Thompson...... not players who would improve our best 17, but I think we will see SL clubs signing a few solid players to get through 2020 whilst they aren’t playing for their current clubs.

Nice to see the positives of the players that are with us now, training together and will in some format be the ones doing the business over next few weeks.

YES - we still have McMeeken : NO - we do not have Evalds, Evans, Sutcliffe, Ashworth, Bentley, Warrington Fwd,

Compare our squad to all other SL teams and we have the deepest.

I look at the likes of Leeds, Warrington, Saints who have good starting 13's, but any injuries and they have no cover, often having to use kids.

wouldn't class robbie storey as a centre even though he would give it his all.
one toronto player that would strengthen our cover at half back is joe mellor, always liked him and he's done well in poor teams.

My son and i went to Bradford to watch our second team, him and O Neil were the best two forwards on show

Wasn't it Robbie Storey playing inside Lewis Carr when he scored all them tries in 2018?

The weaknesses are obvious, our first choice full back departed leaving 2nd rate options and no half back cover if we lose Truey or Richardson ( which was the case from start of season).
With us saving on Rankin would it be worthwhile trying to bring O'Brian in to cover these gaps?

I think we could do a lot worse than bringing in either Obrien or Mellor , can cover both half back and full back . I think we are basically in trouble if we get a injury in the half’s , I hope to god we don’t see Turner play there

I still think Evalds will be a Cas player soon, Powell is very smart so to not bring a good fullback in with what's on offer from the championship and Toronto is just really odd. Rankins wage could easily cover someone else and the Eden, Clare option is just a risk in my opinion. Waiting for the usual suspects to shoot me down again.

Agreed that Clare and Eden are not good enough, both are squad players on the wing never mind fullback. Can’t see Evalds coming early though so it’ll either have to be Hodgson or try and swoop in for o Brian for fullback till the end of the year. I think wakey have got a great player in Gigiot which we should’ve gone for.

Agree with most of what you’ve said there, especially the bit about Clare and Eden being at full back. Like you said, money saved from Rankin could secure cover, like O’Brien for instance, for a few months.
