I must admit I don't follow goofball and have only seen a couple of short sectoins of live games following its return but there did appear to be an obvious home bias on what I could hear. If the sound is purely for TV audience, there doesn't seem to be a reason for home bias but there we go.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑29 Jun 2020, 12:17The crowd noise is added for the TV viewers - you can’t hear it at the stadium!Flat Capper wrote: ↑29 Jun 2020, 12:13 There are differences in the size of our pitch and other, more modern stadia which will impact us in two ways. We are at a disadvantage when playing at other grounds and we lose the impact on other teams visiting us.
In addition, if we utilise the crown noise during games, it seems to me that, in football, the home sides have crowd noise of thier home supporters. So whilst there may be 'no crowd', there may still be an advantage those clubs that can host games?
Of course, this is better than nothing but worth noting nonetheless..

Re: ITS BACK
Leeds Utd has the crowd noise played through the PA system and trained with it on there captains run to get a feel for it.

Thanks TT.. Seems ignorance on the subject is widespread.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑29 Jun 2020, 12:31I didn’t know that. The games I have seen have given a choice between watching with crowd noise added or not.
On the home advantage subject overall, tell me a player that claims to prefer playing away from home and I'll show you a liar.

Re: ITS BACK
will the full fixture list come out or will they plan for a month or two leaving some games hoping the fans will be allowed to attend ??

Re: ITS BACK
Personally, there should be 2 grounds in Yorkshire and 2 in the other side of the pennines available for these matches. No team should play at home. Leeds could play their home matches at Huddersfield and Huddersfield at Leeds.
Leeds playing at home all the time and the ability to gain revenue from its corporate (technically they can do as bars and 0restaurants open though not giving a match ticket option) isn't fair.

It would be grossly unfair for Leeds to play all of their remaining games at Headingley.
Especially given corporate/ boxes etc. In fact it would be disgusting.
They shouldn’t be allowed to play at Headingley whatsoever, just like none of the other teams.
In my opinion...
Which are the proposed grounds ?

It won’t be back if we aren’t careful.
Photos of Wigan players all together, indoors in the gym and all stood next to each other.
Lucky they aren’t footballers or the press would be all over them.

Re: ITS BACK
For those talking about "unfair advantage" for 3 teams:
In the english football league, bundesliga, AFL and - most relevant to us: NRL, home advantage disappears without crowds:

There is nothing special enough about Headingley that would buck this trend for Leeds. So lets calm down eh?

Re: ITS BACK
I'm not sure anyone getting excited but it has to be a level playing field.
With Wigan football going into administration today, their ground may be available cheap.

As per my earlier post, the administrators now “Control” the ground as an asset of the business. This stops the business selling this, or any other, assets and keeping the money. One of three things will now happen:tigerfeat wrote: ↑01 Jul 2020, 18:28Who owns the ground at this moment in time then
1) the company will be rescued (taken over)as a going concern
2) the creditors will agree a deal which sees them receive so much from every pound they’re owed (CVA). This will be more than if the company went into liquidation, as the creditors then get little to nothing back
3) sell assets to benefit one or more secured or preferential creditors.
