Season tickets

Post by betts21 » 28 Jun 2020, 20:23

So what are peoples thoughts on what the club should/will do for the season ticket holders also what impact will this have on next year's season tickets sales?

Leeds on Friday I think it was announced what they will be doing
The season ticket holder as three options
1) Donate the money to the club and get a prize freeze on the next 3 years season ticket with a free pre-game meal next season thrown in
2)Let the club keep the money but get money knocked off your season ticket for the next three years
3) Ask for your money back

Couple more clubs I believe doing something similar...not sure what Cas are planning to do

Options 1 and 2 seem ok, but obviously some won't be able to afford it, but each to their own. You'd like to think a club like Cas which is so close to the communities that support it can come up with summat that will suit all probabilities. 🐯 COYF

Don't think many will choose option 3 but everybody's situation is different

The big challange is getting everything right and looking to next season when we need to sell as many season tickets as possible obviously

The only thing we can do is to wait and see what the club comes up with, season ticket holders differ each will make up their own minds after seeing any options that are offered

I would expect that there will be draft model of different options discussed among all super league clubs and then put out to individual clubs

I’ve said it before, they can have my money. It’s gone now.

I'm also happy for the club to keep my season ticket money, it's gone now. I imagine if the majority of season ticket holders ask for a refund, the club would be under enormous pressure, given the Sky shortfall of almost £300k next season.

As has been said, it’s each to their own.

I myself don’t have a season ticket but I did sign up to Club 1926 and have ordered the training shirt

I have also, along with my uncle and mum, decided to get season tickets for 2021.

OUR club needs us, now more than ever.

I'm surprised that the club hasn't mentioned this issue on the official Cas Tigers site.

They could be proactive and let us know their thoughts and financial implications for the club.

They have never been the best of communicators, but in the absence of club news, this is one issue they could begin to deal with.

Wonder what happened to that brick money can't remember being offered a refund even that ground was never going to be built

It’s still in an escrow account. You can get a refund if you contact the club.

For me i like the discount spread over the next three years but I would also like the club just to be open with fans at the moment we seem to be having a large crop of players leaving be nice to have some positive news come out maybe off set peoples thoughts when dealing with the season ticket issue

This year there should be no problem with the money ,next year will be a different tale... a lot on season tickets will depend on the status of the virus come November if it looks like games won't be played on certain home grounds or behind closed doors for the start of next year season ticket sales will be massively affected obviously

After being a season ticket holder for the past 26 years and been involved in more downs than ups, I for one wont be making any claim for missed games this season. I will also buy next years season ticket as soon as they are available to ensure cash flow is maintained into the club and help out as best as I can.
I appreciate not all supporters will be in a financial position to do this but it's not just Cas who are in this position we are talking about the whole of sport (other than the top teams in football's Premier League who don't give a toss about others). We must pull together as best as we can to get through this nightmare both personally and to assist our team the Castleford Tigers.
Keith.

Totally agree 💯 with Keithy and Tigerfeet and most other posters on this subject. The money already spent on season tickets for this season is gone as far as most are concerned, but I'm sure a few will have a different point of view which is absolutely fine. After all we are individuals with individual thoughts on the subject, so each to their own. Let's just get the game on the field again and hope everyone is well and we have a end to what has been a bonkers last few months. 🙏🕊️🏉👍💪🐯 COYF
