Re: Millington - Yes or No
I’ve always rated Matt Cook. Makes good metres, doesn’t miss a tackle, doesn’t concede penalties and makes very few errors. Does the basics and does them well.

Totally agree.
Matt cook is invaluable if fit. If he can do another season or 2 we love his style and passion

Re: Millington - Yes or No
Problem is Cook as hardly been fit last couple of seasons, time to let him go, Millington probably worth another season way he as upped his performances again so far this year.Mysterio wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 00:26nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑29 May 2020, 21:59I’ve always rated Matt Cook. 21 games in 2019
19 games in 2018
23 games in 2017.
And some of the games he missed was through non-selection, not injury.
63 games in the last three consecutive seasons. He’s a stalwart compared to some of our other forwards.

Re: Millington - Yes or No
I apologise profusely. I was going to post his stats for carries, metres, tackles, missed tackles and conceded penalties from the last three years. But that would be far too much factual information for some to cope with!Fumper27 wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 11:13Nottinghamtiger, have you not yet learnt that on this forum speculation trumps fact every timenottinghamtiger wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 09:16Really?Sharlotiger wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 02:07Problem is Cook as hardly been fit last couple of seasons, time to let him go, Millington probably worth another season way he as upped his performances again so far this year.Mysterio wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 00:26nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑29 May 2020, 21:59

Re: Millington - Yes or No
Sorry Notts, I apolagise profusely I thought Cook missed a large chuck of the 2019 campaign through him losing his voice, if he managed 21 appearances it can't have been for as long as I thought. Still missed all of this season with injury and in my very humble opinion at the age he is it might be worth while looking at other options.nottinghamtiger wrote: ↑30 May 2020, 11:19I apologise profusely. Re: Millington - Yes or No
Let’s all agree it depends on cooky’s demands.
If he’s happy taking a reduced contract due to age (and cap) - to enable us to fit him in - he’s definitely worth another deal.

I do agree with you to some extent though. If we can bring in a younger forward who is equally as good and doesn’t take up much more of the salary cap, then it might be time to look elsewhere.
But does that player exist and he is available? I suspect not.
